Planning has begun for the 7th Annual TexasCowboy Memorial Shoot.
This year’s shoot will be held at Schwenke’s Rifle & Pistol Range, 4407 FM 1069, Aransas Pass, TX. Which is a few miles north of Corpus Christi.
The date of the shoot is October 6th, which is Columbus Day weekend.
I have not talked to the range owner yet to see if we can cook on the range. If not, we will head over here for food & more fun. What food & who cooks has yet to be determined. I’m thinking, since we will be on the coast, we should have seafood.
Several of us will be staying in the cottages at that resort. The cottages sleep 2 ~ 4 people; they are a one bedroom with a fold out queen couch. I am going to reserve four cottages so that we will have a common area where we can eat & socialize. Let me know if you want to stay in one of them.
It should be noted that a festival will be held the same weekend as the shoot.

BTW, I’ve advanced our resos at the cottages to include thursday night.
Friday is playday and we’ll prolly hit the Rockport festival.

The Seafair doesn’t open on Friday until 5:00 p.m..
I suggest we visit Lady Lex. Also, while in the area you have got to see the Science on a Sphere presentation http://sos.noaa.gov/What_is_SOS/index.html ~ they have presentations at 2:00 & 3:00. Saturday’s presentation is a compilation of what is shown during the week.

They pulled the same crap at the Fair across the street from work this year.
You’re just jonesing for a corny dog and some fries for lunch, and they don’t open till after you’ve gone home for the day!
Oh well. I went back on the last night, had a cold beer, a corny dog and watched the Ray Wylie Hubbard concert for less than $10.

TC and I had a same rifle and scope. Barret 99, We talked about them here a few times.
