(CNSNews.com) - The president of the National Organization for Women says that abortions are "common and it is necessary" and that the United States should "make birth control available to any woman who wants it universally."
Terry O’Neill appeared on Thursday morning’s edition of Washington Journal on CSPAN to discuss her organization’s support for the ‘Violence Against Women Act’.
A caller to the program brought up the issue of abortion, saying there should be a ‘Violence Against Babies’ Act.
O’Neill responded: “All women across the country actually do benefit from the things that we advocate for. You know, 1 in 3 women will have an abortion before the age of 45. It is common and it is necessary.
"You can bring the rate of abortion down by having two things," she added. "One, universal birth control, make birth control available to any woman who wants it universally. It is in fact -- birth control is a key part of women’s preventive health.

What is with these pro-abortion sex-mad feminists? It’s all about sex, and sex at the cost of others. Sort of a rape mentality - I have sex, you pay.
