Tea Party Warms To Romney
Talking Points Memo ^ | 4/18/12 | Kyle Leighton

Posted on 04/18/2012 5:02:41 AM PDT by Haiku Guy

One chunk of the Republican electorate has proved an incredibly fickle voting bloc, denying party unity while the nominating process dragged on. It’s the same group of conservative voters that went from candidate to candidate, looking for an alternative to former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.

Now, out of options, it seems that those who identify themselves as tea party supporters are finally coming home to the presumptive nominee.

"he cannot beat obomba.

You are undedrestimating the anti-obama sentiment out there.
"

Which is why I am certain that the "Tea Party" will not support obomney under any circumstances. Just because you shills have found an older and paler obomba doesn't mean the "Tea Party" will warm to him or accept him. "Tea Partiers" are not the racists you race baiters would like to think we are. Why replace a liberal with a liberal? Your answer is "because he's white." That's not good enough. If obomney is on the both sides of the ballot I will refrain from casting a vote for either side of him and continue to support those conservatives that are running for the House or the Senate. If you romney shills are serious about winning the White House you MUST dump romney and support Newt or pray for a brokered convention and support Sarah Palin.

The truth is the truth and the truth is romney, without my vote and the votes of others like me, cannot beat obomba and we are NOT going to vote for him. PERIOD!

Why do you live a life of fear? Go run and vote for Romney if that’s the security blanket you need to sooth your nerves.

As bad as Obama is, I think Romney would be worse. He’s more experienced. He’d be more productive at moving the progressive agenda forward.

Conservatives have no choice if Romney is nominated. We will be like jews choosing between Hitler and Stalin.

“Our choice is unpalatable but clear.”

GOP strategy works again! Geez those guys are clever in pushing their progressive candidates! “Well, you HAVE to vote for him now, consider the alternative!”

No Sale.

The nomination of Mitt Romney only shows one thing - the GOP needs to be replaced with something else.

Tea Parties warming to Mitt Romney only show one things - they need to be replaced with something else.

I don’t know why you had to inject race into this discussion. I think the vast majority of people here oppose Obama for reasons entirely unrelated to race.

"I don't like Romney but he is better than the alternative."

Two things. One- why are you lying to us? You love obomney. You know it and we know it.
Two- It's sad when the only sudo-positive thing you can pull out of your a** to say about obomney is "he is better than the alternative" especially when one considers that his 'record' says the exact opposite. Obomba and romney are in one mind and in one accord when it comes to their agenda so please... stop with the bulls*** k?! Your shilling isn't fooling anyone.

It hurts my head to consider who Romney would choose for SC. Or, any number of things he might fumble the ball on like serious spending cuts...immigration...take two aprin and call me in the morning.
Is that the kind of warming they are talking about?

The only fear I have is that for the first time in my life I have to worry about my grandchilden living under communism with the obama regime at the helm for Gods know how long. obama is blatantly defying the Constitution, the Supreme Court and the Congress. He's taking over all industries in the private sector, he's killing jobs and ruining the futures of our children. I don't know about you, but I find that very scary indeed. You act like you will have another shot at reversing the damage - good luck with that.

That's EXACTLY what the Ruling Class has done. I refuse to capitulate to their non-choice and deceive myself into thinking my vote against Obama for Romney was anything but a ruse. Romney is no choice at all. Makes no difference if he is the nominee - Obama wins, and the Ruling Class ensured that would be the case.

Well, obviously we're just crazy enough to do that but it seems you are just as willing to let that happen as you think we are.

You people get your jollies poking us in the eye every chance you get and than you piss and moan that we piss and moan about getting poked in the eye all the time.

Besides, it's not my job to vote for someone like Romney, it's his job to get me to vote for him. Here's a helpful hint, Mitt: Don't poke Tea Partiers in the eye and don't go running away like a scared little girl rabbit whenever someone beyond the "true believers" like Diane Sawyer asks you a question about us.

Finally, Urkel wants to take the country over the cliff in fourth gear, Stretch-a-sketch will take us over the cliff in second gear.

Either way, we go over the cliff.

There may be something to be said for going over the cliff in fourth gear. At least that way we clear the rocks below.

Amen, Brother!

But although I am hoping to win the Powerball tonight, I still plan on going to work tomorrow morning.

"Time to face reality.

(pick one)"

Reality is that, if I pick one abortionist/sodomite lover over the other, I'll have to stand in front of God and try to justify why I did that. You think I should do it anyway?

Only THIS time, the GOP has settled on the worst of the bunch. I settled for Bush I and II, Dole and even McCain. But Romney? They`ve pushed it too far this time. No thanks.

I feel the same way. I "settled" for Dole, Bush II (twice), and even McCain. But Romney is simply too much. At least with the others, they had some conservative leanings, even if they weren't "pure." Romney doesn't even have that. Down the line, point by point, the guy is basically a washed-out version of Barack Obama. Seriously - guns, gays, abortion, judges, and for the FisCons, taxes, health care, government mandates.

What's telling about this is that I *used* to be the guy who was on here and elsewhere opposing third parties and "disunity" and all that to the last breath. At least our RINO is better than their leftist Democrat, and all that. But it's extremely hard to *credibly* make that case this year (though there's no lack of trying from the sellout crowd). If *I've* come around to not going along with the Party nominee anymore, then I can almost guarantee that there are millions of others thinking the same way.

Anyone recall who won the election with just 42% of the popular vote?

Anyone recall who was consistently polling 40+% for weeks before he started to see little green men in flying saucers on his front lawn?

Then you are a fool. Obama must go and I don’t care if it is Charlie Sheen running against him.

You voting for obami by a 3rd party vote is exactly THE SAME THING AS PULLING THE LEVER FOR OBAMI.
