Sure he's wrong on so many issues and he has these "relapses" into his past days. What alot of Freepers don't know that Beckel is a reformed (Born Again?) Christian. He reminds me of a few relatives I know who are decent people but complete a&&es when it comes to politics.

How can any born again person support abortion? Yes, some few may not understand it for what it is, murder, but Beckel is too smart to be able to claim genuine ignorance. He’s made his choice, and its to spit in the eye of God. How does one square that with being “born again?”
