Set em' up, take em' down. Did you ask yourself why Obama, Biden, Axelrod, and leftists of all stripes appeared to side with the pro-Ann Romney camp? Did it make you stop and think? Or did you buy into the distraction?
Crazy headlines like "Obama Throws Hilary Rosen Under the Bus" make you wonder why he would do that to someone who visited the White House 35 times since he became president.
It's because he isn't really throwing her under the bus; he's just saying he is.
Republicans wonder why Obama's buddies keep getting to set the narrative.
The answer's obvious -- the Republicans keep taking the bait. Throwing out chum to the chattering classes is right out of the Democrat consultant and Mao admirer Anita Dunn's strategy to sidetrack us from the destructive transformative policies this administration has put in place.

With a little more creativity, just about any distraction can be turned around to make the small government point. In this case, the point is made by Rosen that person “A” does not have insight into what it is like to be person “B”. But this is true of Senators and farmers, city and rural life, etc. Which means that “Government” is a bunch of people making decisions that affect lives they don’t relate to or understand. Which is why government needs to remain small as possible and interfere as little as possible in all these different lives they don’t know a thing about as to what is needed or what works and doesn’t work. (This gets the distraction back to the point of small government).

I'm not sure it was an abandonment of Rosen, though. She embarrassed herself -- made herself look ridiculous -- and Obama & Co. distanced themselves from her.
There may be a job or some perk for her down the road for taking the fall on this -- some quiet and discrete payoff that compensates her without bringing the White House negative attention.
The Demonrats do set the narrative. It’s like a play in which various actors are assigned parts.

The author of the article, Anne Kane, made her point in the article far more effectively than can be dismissed by your off-the-wall comments.
You totally underestimate the political team that has focused-grouped and polled this distraction, which issue they would never have brought up had they not calculated brings them far more votes than it costs them.

But I think I'm seeing some chinks appearing in Barry O'Dummie's hold on *some* in the MSM. Besides the usual suspects like the DNC wholly owned pMSNBC kooks and the New York Slimes communists, a 'few' in the (cough) 'legit MSM' seem to be rebelling and not swallowing the BS being fed to them by the pathological liar, Jay Carney(1).
I can't recall all these 'journalists' names but from what I see and read the WH Press Briefings - Conferences are getting testier and testier and no longer like a sunny stroll in the park for 'poor little Jay'(2).
So IMHO 2012 won't be 'exactly' like 2008 for Barry. Granted the MSM won't go after him like Glenn Beck (GBTV) still does or Andrew Breitbart did and would if alive, but they're all not sitting there waiting for the Obama Gang to throw them a doggy treat for being good little lapdogs either.
And Barry's new little gimmick of making them use only 'Government Issued Computers' to file their reports just may be 'A Bridge Too Far' for the regime. Kool-Aid can wear off, the Rose Colored Glasses can come off. and taking all the journalists electronic toys away(3) can result like 'A Liberal Getting Mugged'.
