A reminder for those who are not receiving the message:
Romney is a pathological compulsive liar. Lie after lie papered over with more lies. Doesn’t even flinch when caught in bald faced lies, simply tells another big whopper to cover up or dodge the issue. Funny thing, the man actually seems to believe his own latest lies and simply ignores the glaring record of his past actions/lies. And you have true blue establishment elite RINO Republicans like Karl Rove enabling and backing up his lies. Their motivation is simply to hang on to power (and riches) any way they can.
I’ve stated many times since Romney started running for the presidency way back when that I’d never vote for him and I will not. He cannot lie his way out of his decades long record of support for abortion, Roe v Wade, planned parenthood, gay rights, gun control, global warming, amnesty, liberal judges, big government, compulsory or socialized health care (RomneyCommieCare), mandates, Keynesian economics, support and approval of TARP, bailouts, stimulus packages, i.e, every damn liberal progressive issue that comes down the pike.
C’mon. These are the reasons the tea party sprang up and the reasons he and Rove loathe the tea party and our tea party conservative candidates. Romney famously expressed his loathing for Reagan-Bush conservatism several years ago when he was trying to run to the left of Ted Kennedy and now he’s cloaking himself in Reagan conservatism, knowing full well that it’s a lie, but he knows it’s the only way he can possibly win, er buy the Republican nomination.
Screw Romney!! I absolutely will not support or vote for a proven compulsive liar with a known record of abortion and big government socialism, liberal appointments, etc. He still lies about RomneyCommieCare today. Calls it a “conservative solution.” Get real!!

But no matter what happens we must turn out in November to vote IN as many conservatives and vote OUT as many rats as possible at all levels of government. If we don't have a conservative at the top of the ticket we must turn out anyway and vote straight conservative DOWN ticket!! Just think of it an off cycle election and pour on the TEA!! It'll be doubly important that we control both houses of congress and as many statehouses as possible.

I will tell you something worse. I warned that the dirty politics on this forum by those that attempted to elevate Newt by ridiculing Santorum was a mistake that would only help Romney. Now we have an offended group to assuage and it was totally unnecessary. No one knows where his delegates will go, but I doubt this forum brought a lot of them into Newt's camp.
I would be thrilled with Newt because I have been around longer than he has, so I know his career. I would also have been ok with Santorum because I thought I could know where he really was on an issue, neither perfect, but both more than acceptable.
I will not be voting for Romney period.

I got a donation call from the College Republicans earlier today. They asked me if I feared Obama’s re-election. I said yes and then qualified that with “but I also fear Mitt Romney’s election since he’ll steer the Republican party even more to the left.”
After explaining that I wouldn’t donate unless my money would be used to educate young voters about the corrupt liberals in BOTH parties, the caller got steamed, accused me of being an Obama supporter (?) and hung up.
I’m convinced that the Republicans and their satellite organizations are equally not worth supporting. From here on out, I support individual candidates, not a party.
I see nothing in Mitt Romney that I will sacrifice my principles for.

We do well enough on our own, running our own individual lives. Just give me the candidate who can win — given where we are now —but will interfere with my life the least of those who can win. I will admit right here and RIGHT NOW — I need to do some more background reading on Romney.
When I hear him talk, it’s like this — (you could see this also as playing Devil’s advocate). He will sometimes convince me that he did what he did as governor because he had to deal with SO many Democrats in his legislature — that he “tried” to be a conservative, but it was impossible.
I know, I know ...I’m probably highly ignorant, and don’t know and don’t take the time to learn all I should.
Can anyone enlighten me or point me to some good succinct reads where I can understand how this was NOT the case?

I live in Texas, and we haven’t had our primary Election YET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BTW, it is illegal in Texas to write in candidates names.
Hence, I will vote in the Primary for the name I like best on the ballot, regardless of whether or not he is still in the race.
I will vote, (Democrats hate it when Conservatives vote), in the National Election by turning in a ballot with BLANKS for the office slot candidates that I do not want in office.
In this small way I am casting an ABSTAIN vote, just as the US House and Senate members do, when they choose to vote: NONE OF THE ABOVE.
Not casting a ballot is just what the Democrats want, so I will cast a blank ballot for POTUS this November.
If they are true purists then yes, they would have to. The real question though is, is Sarah a purist? If she is, she would be unable to support Romney. I think I know the answer, but we shall see.

What FR ought to look like in January is a site that will oppose any liberal policies coming from the government. Isn’t that what it already looks like? Why would it change?
You need to understand that conservatism does not equal GOP by default and GOP does not equal conservatism by default. Like Sean Hannity says, he’s a registered conservative, not a registered Republican.
If Romney is elected, sites and forums standing up for true conservatism rather than “team playing” GOP cheerleading will probably become even rarer, making FR an all-the-more desirable and valuable destination.

I hate casting my vote for Romney like the plague but I will still vote for him because I am 100% convinced that another Obama term would be devastating to this country.
