We will not waste our limited resources on FR in support for a liberal progressive LIAR
Click here to pledge your support! ^ | April 12, 2012 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/13/2012 12:13:14 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

A reminder for those who are not receiving the message:

Romney is a pathological compulsive liar. Lie after lie papered over with more lies. Doesn’t even flinch when caught in bald faced lies, simply tells another big whopper to cover up or dodge the issue. Funny thing, the man actually seems to believe his own latest lies and simply ignores the glaring record of his past actions/lies. And you have true blue establishment elite RINO Republicans like Karl Rove enabling and backing up his lies. Their motivation is simply to hang on to power (and riches) any way they can.

I’ve stated many times since Romney started running for the presidency way back when that I’d never vote for him and I will not. He cannot lie his way out of his decades long record of support for abortion, Roe v Wade, planned parenthood, gay rights, gun control, global warming, amnesty, liberal judges, big government, compulsory or socialized health care (RomneyCommieCare), mandates, Keynesian economics, support and approval of TARP, bailouts, stimulus packages, i.e, every damn liberal progressive issue that comes down the pike.

C’mon. These are the reasons the tea party sprang up and the reasons he and Rove loathe the tea party and our tea party conservative candidates. Romney famously expressed his loathing for Reagan-Bush conservatism several years ago when he was trying to run to the left of Ted Kennedy and now he’s cloaking himself in Reagan conservatism, knowing full well that it’s a lie, but he knows it’s the only way he can possibly win, er buy the Republican nomination.

Screw Romney!! I absolutely will not support or vote for a proven compulsive liar with a known record of abortion and big government socialism, liberal appointments, etc. He still lies about RomneyCommieCare today. Calls it a “conservative solution.” Get real!!

Listen to what Ronald Reagan had to say about the elites pushing socialism on America via compulsory health insurance:

Ronald Reagan speaks out against RomneyCommieCare

There will be no campaign for this Massachusetts liberal liar on FR!!

Damn the libs and RINOS, full steam ahead!!

But no matter what happens we must turn out in November to vote IN as many conservatives and vote OUT as many rats as possible at all levels of government. If we don't have a conservative at the top of the ticket we must turn out anyway and vote straight conservative DOWN ticket!! Just think of it an off cycle election and pour on the TEA!! It'll be doubly important that we control both houses of congress and as many statehouses as possible.

Restore the 10th amendment!! Impeach the leftist president whoever he may be!! Restore Liberty!! Rebellion comes from the bottom up!!

WOO HOO!! I CAN SEE NOVEMBER FROM MY HOUSE!!

No Bama!! No Romney!! Go tea party rebellion!!

Jim - - - here is one of your better comments, (#157), on your recent thread “ Notice: Free Republic has - - - duration.”

” - - - Romney fully intends to trample on the constitution and our liberty from the get go. He’s still in love with his baby RomneyCare. He is the proud grand pappy of ObamaCare. He loves the individual mandate and means to force it on all of us. Show me where in the Declaration or the Constitution it says that government can force a man to purchase a product or service he doesn’t want and against his will? Romney’s already assembling a national healthcare task force to help the states impose RomneyCare like programs in all 50 states. He’s just as committed to socialism and control by a group of elites as Obama.

He’s also looking for ways to allow the illegal aliens to remain in country. That means he’ll eventually grant them amnesty and the vote and that gives them millions of more socialist voters. And he still believes in man made global warming and he believes government has to do something about it. More socialism. Bigger government. More government force, more corruption and more abuse. - - - “

The time to say these things is now, not after the Tampa Convention.

Thanks for speaking for what all of us know, deep in our gut.

No, I won't be voting for Romney. It seems to me there's a huge gap in the choices to vote for in November. Even though it's probably too late now to get a Conservative party presidential candidate to have any shot at winning in 2012, perhaps groundwork should get under way to build a Free Republic Party or a Tea Party Party or some such for actual conservative candidates.

Historically, a president's second term tends to be less ideologically pure than the first one. So, if anything, history says Obama will be pushed further to the right in his second term. I wouldn't bet on it, but we could see more episodes like him signing the extension of the Bush tax cuts with a Republican Congress to gridlock him.

I think I’d vote for the devil himself if I thought he could beat Obama.

And you don't see a problem with that mindset? Politics shouldn't be about hating people personally. It needs to be about ideology and policy goals. This "get rid of Obama at all costs" mentality is dangerous if it hurts our cause in the long run. And letting the GOP know they can ignore conservatives in a primary and win strictly through million-dollar mudslinging against good conservatives is extremely dangerous. What's worse, having one party fighting against your causes or both of them?

Who would you rather have appointing federal judges, Romney or Obama?

Who would you rather have appointing the next Attorney General, Romney or Obama?

Who would you rather negotiate with Putin, Romney or Obama?

Who would you rather negotiate with the “Arab spring” leaders, Romney or Obama?

A vote for anyone other than Romney is a vote for Obama.

That's an anti-conservative slur, under the current circumstances. And a lie, of course.

The votes go in the column of those we vote FOR, not those we don't vote for.

I feel funny having to say something so obvious, but what's a guy going to do?

S'ok. Because he won't get it. And polls aren't votes.

Once upon a time, the Republican Party was started pretty much as an anti-slavery party. In Illinois.

Back when principles meant something, and peoples lives in chains wasn't hyperbole, it was real.

Too bad they strayed into socialism.

They left me. I didn't leave them.

But I will fight it all the way.

Wow! At least you re-phrased the trite "groupthink" meme. Speaking of groupthink; this is the third time I've seen that notion in less than 24 hours.

“Groupthink” (or "assmunchers" if you're a creative parrot) is a weasel word full of assumptions and intentions to bully people through their emotions. It’s not the tactic of a thinking person but rather of a sheeple who wants to pretend to be a sheep dog. It is also so shopworn by GOP-elitists now it sounds like bleating. LOL

Have fun in the ozone!

GW Bush did get us Obama. John McCain got us Obama by being a weal candidate who kissed Obama’s butt and told what a good American Obama was, all this while the Obama icon, Rev. Jeremiah Wright was fanning the winds of racism from the church pulpit!!!

Me......I want Obama defeated. I don’t care if it is a blind monkey with one hand tied behind his back. Yep, that means, I will be be casting my vote for Mitt Romney, who is not my first choice by far. But....I will not try to change anyone’s mind who opts to sit on their hands, or worse yet, cast their precious vote for Obama. Why? Get Real, Indeed!

Romney is more like Harry Reid than Orrin Hatch, who are both his Mormon brethren.

Why didn't Romney make his political career in conservative Utah like John Huntsman, instead of choosing ultra liberal Massachusetts? Why didn't he try for the governorship of Michigan? I submit he's a liberal at heart!

Newt Gingrich was right when he told Romney during one of the debates, that Romney would be a career politician had Kennedy not beat him in their US Senate contest, when Romney ran to the Left of Kennedy!

Now we're supposed to believe that Romney is the GOP standard bearer for conservatives too!

Shafted again? No thanks. Not me.

This primary is NOT over, but if he's the nominee, he does NOT get my vote. I'll not be a party to deceit and this choice of a lesser evil.

The day I put my faith in a liar, and a vicious, wanton liar at that, please shoot me.

P.S. To those posing the questions, "what about Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum and others who have said they will support Romney?"

My answer: They are national TEA Party patriots and not about to give the Marxist anything that would help his reelection, so grow the he// up.

How will a republican Congress support such an effort when they all opposed Obamacare?

I understand Romney chose to defend his state program not disavow it. I don’t like that.

However, Obama is not going to disavow his NATIONAL Obamacare.

Of course there is a third way...but how likely is a serious third party candidate at this point? Not very, I would say.

Not speaking to you specifically, but man-oh-man there is a huge lack of understanding here about the difference between strategy and tactics, folks! We can all agree that strategically we are going to abide by our closely held principles, but tactically we have to WIN elections in order to have any influence. Some here want to wave the bloody shirt while they get run over by Obama’s tanks. I want to stop his effing tanks. Defeat the bastard. Throw him out on the street!
