We will not waste our limited resources on FR in support for a liberal progressive LIAR

A reminder for those who are not receiving the message:

Romney is a pathological compulsive liar. Lie after lie papered over with more lies. Doesn’t even flinch when caught in bald faced lies, simply tells another big whopper to cover up or dodge the issue. Funny thing, the man actually seems to believe his own latest lies and simply ignores the glaring record of his past actions/lies. And you have true blue establishment elite RINO Republicans like Karl Rove enabling and backing up his lies. Their motivation is simply to hang on to power (and riches) any way they can.

I’ve stated many times since Romney started running for the presidency way back when that I’d never vote for him and I will not. He cannot lie his way out of his decades long record of support for abortion, Roe v Wade, planned parenthood, gay rights, gun control, global warming, amnesty, liberal judges, big government, compulsory or socialized health care (RomneyCommieCare), mandates, Keynesian economics, support and approval of TARP, bailouts, stimulus packages, i.e, every damn liberal progressive issue that comes down the pike.

C’mon. These are the reasons the tea party sprang up and the reasons he and Rove loathe the tea party and our tea party conservative candidates. Romney famously expressed his loathing for Reagan-Bush conservatism several years ago when he was trying to run to the left of Ted Kennedy and now he’s cloaking himself in Reagan conservatism, knowing full well that it’s a lie, but he knows it’s the only way he can possibly win, er buy the Republican nomination.

Screw Romney!! I absolutely will not support or vote for a proven compulsive liar with a known record of abortion and big government socialism, liberal appointments, etc. He still lies about RomneyCommieCare today. Calls it a “conservative solution.” Get real!!

Listen to what Ronald Reagan had to say about the elites pushing socialism on America via compulsory health insurance:

Ronald Reagan speaks out against RomneyCommieCare

There will be no campaign for this Massachusetts liberal liar on FR!!

Damn the libs and RINOS, full steam ahead!!

But no matter what happens we must turn out in November to vote IN as many conservatives and vote OUT as many rats as possible at all levels of government. If we don't have a conservative at the top of the ticket we must turn out anyway and vote straight conservative DOWN ticket!! Just think of it an off cycle election and pour on the TEA!! It'll be doubly important that we control both houses of congress and as many statehouses as possible.

Restore the 10th amendment!! Impeach the leftist president whoever he may be!! Restore Liberty!! Rebellion comes from the bottom up!!

WOO HOO!! I CAN SEE NOVEMBER FROM MY HOUSE!!

No Bama!! No Romney!! Go tea party rebellion!!

Voting for Romney is not just a Conservative issue.I live in a strong Union/Democrat part of PA. and I have talked to some old timers who tell me they will not vote for Obama. Wouldn't it be better to get rid of Holder,Big Sis,Biden the Buffoon,Clinton the Alcoholic,The First “lady” who jet sets around the world on her own US Treasury Vacation card??? Four more years of Barry Hussein will bring riots, gas lines, food shortages,etc... Also I think Obama has no intention of going anywhere.

...what good are principals when your country is burned to the ground and the New Black Panties are enforcing Eric Holder’s “New Constitution”...

If you are asking that question then you really don't know what principles are. No slight intended but your statement is a complete rejection of the concept of principles.

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

What would it take to get ONE true conservative entered into the next GOP Presidential primary race (if there is even another one), rather than 5 or 6 to tear each other apart leaving the one liberal progressive RINO left standing (because he has the megabucks and backing of the RINO GOPe organization)? Even if we had closed primaries and had all primaries on the exact same day, if you have 5 conservatives and one liberal candidates and most Repubican votersle want a conservative, it seems the conservative vote will be split up and the moderate edges them out every time.

Let’s get behind Newt and hope and pray that he can defeat Romney or at least force a brokered convention, but is it possible to come up with a better plan next time?

Here’s an idea my husband and I had talked about. I’m sure there are flaws but maybe it’s a start.

What if we had some kind of “constitutional party within a party” branch of the Repub party whose leadership would take the records of those wanting to run under its label, and evaluate those guys using their track records of past voting, also look at organizations they’ve belonged to, people they have and do surround themselves with ,etc. Somehow, this group would look at the records of all those who wanted the cherished title of “Conservative” Republican and narrow down the list to best 2 or 3. These people would have to commit to a platform of Constitutional conservative principles and have a proven track record that they have done a great job in past leadership at the state level. Then you would have state by state caucuses (of this “party within a party”) that would vote for the Constitutional Conservative candidate that would be run against the GOP3 guy in the main primary season. How would you decide who gets to vote in those caucuses? I don’t know...., but anyway the idea is somehow you come out with one strong, vetted conservative ready to go head to head with the GOPe RINO yuck choice we are given every year since Reagan, and maybe an alternate or secondary choice as a backup.

This would all be done BEFORE the “official” R primary season even got started. Anyone who wanted to run under the “Conservative /Constitutional Republican” label/endorsement and even be considered by the Conservative leadership for support would have to commit that they would abide by and support the candidate that the conservative wing leadership & caucuses choose. This way we don’t have a circular firing squad of conservatives killing each other off, where the last one standing is the worst we could possibly hope for, which is exactly what GOPe wanted all along.

If we did this and had ONE truly conservative candidate, and had all the other potential candidates pledging to support him(else they forego being allowed to use the official label of the Constitutional Conservative wing), if we have this one candidate vetted and then support him with huge amounts of money, organization etc, we wouldn’t be railroaded by the GOPe every election cycle. We could actually get a good solid conservative with a chance to beat the GOPe/RINO guy and have a chance to have a clear alternative in the next election.

Is this even possible? Isn’t this just what the Marxists have done within the Democrat party? This is just something my husband and I have talked about over and over, what can we do to keep from splitting the conservative vote in the primaries every single election cycle? I’m sure there are flaws in this but it just seems we keep doing the same thing wrong every election cycle and it seems with all the smart people on FR that understand politics better than I do, that maybe we can get an idea rolling here that might make a difference in how the primary candidates are chosen?

A federal judge can have influence for decades. I shudder to think who Obama will appoint should he get four more years.

Both Antonin Scalia and Anthony Kennedy will be turning 80 in the next 4 years. Regardless of whether we get Obama or Romney, if we lose either Scalia or Kennedy we will be screwed.

With Obama, we will get another Elena Kagan or Sonia Sotomayor. With Romney, we will get another David Souter, Sandra O'Connor or William Brennan. Either way, there will be a left wing majority on the Supreme Court legislating from the bench for another 30 years.

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Regretfully, I have to say you may have to find a new home on the net. I am not going to be like the blacks who are kept on a government plantation by the democrats but continue voting for them election after election even though it’s never in their best interest. Socialism is the enemy of freedom. I am a pro-life, pro-liberty conservative and I absolutely will never vote for or support the GOP-e anointed, endorsed, backed, funded, foisted and delivered abortionist/homosexualist/socialist Romney whose record is 100% opposite of my values and the founding principles of this great nation, even if he does become the “R” nominee. No thank you. I will not vote for evil liars.

Jim, I understand and respect what you say here but it is not responsive to my post to you.

You think Romney is an evil liar and you will not vote for him. Got it.

But previously you said that I posted lies. I did not.

I intend to vote for the GOP nominee whoever it is. This does not mean that I don't think that Romney is an evil liar; I do think he is this. I just have a different estimation than you do regarding what is the correct choice to make in this particular, very lousy situation.

(In 2008 I voted for McCain who I thought was an evil liar as well. He's not as bad as Mitt, to be sure, but evil and a liar nonetheless.)

Having a different opinion is not the same thing as telling lies, and no one should be falsely called a liar.

I'll repeat what I said above. You're firing pretty wild these last few days and you're hitting some friends. Maybe you ought to reconsider what effect this will have on FreeRepublic going forward after the election.

Harriet Meyers.

Remember her, and that conservatives in Congress made Bush withdraw the nomination?

Yes, a liberal republican could force republicans’ hands with party loyalty. However, he also would find himself pressured by his party.

Plus it is not so simple for Romney to walk back his entire campaign and the republican party platform. Which of course assumes he has any such plan or desire.

Maybe Romney really believes in some things he is pushing, like a military second to none. Because Obama is disarming us and is promising to sell us out more after reelection.

And the next Supreme Court person will be Kegan II.

Just how many time did a justice like Sandra Day O'conner (a justice much like Romney will appoint) vote for a strict construction of the constitution?

About as often as Kagan.

“Another Romney Republican bumper sticker!”

I truly hope you are keeping track of all of those. I think Bishop Willard will win, and those who voted for him will deserve the reminders as the country continues hard left, but under tighter control and smarter, more aggressive management.

So, let me get this straight: you would sell your soul to the devil to keep Obama from getting reelected? Because voting for Romney is an ends-justify-the-means thinking that is an on-ramp to that highway.

I don’t like Jerry Brown either but when he stands against the unions, I cheer him on like a brother in arms.

In Vietnam we lost a lot of good pilots under a situation called “target fixation”. The fighter pilot would be so committed to a target on the ground, he would forget to pull up and actually fly the aircraft into the ground.

Pull up.

Thank you KittenClaws. IMO, great decisions. (obviously... ;-) )

LOL!

It was easier to make than the thought of voting for Mitt.

A thought that might be helpful to some of the ABO’s around here (of which I was one when I woke this morning).

An ‘R’ does not mean a win for conservatives.

Conservatives have found themselves in the minority within their own ‘R’ party. And just why are we in the minority?

Because when we are given the ABO choice we take it, that's why.

As conservatives, if we choose to stand by what we profess to be our principles then our choice is clear - we can not vote against those principles. In voting for a lesser evil, we betray ourselves while creating a minority of those who stood by them.
