A reminder for those who are not receiving the message:
Romney is a pathological compulsive liar. Lie after lie papered over with more lies. Doesnt even flinch when caught in bald faced lies, simply tells another big whopper to cover up or dodge the issue. Funny thing, the man actually seems to believe his own latest lies and simply ignores the glaring record of his past actions/lies. And you have true blue establishment elite RINO Republicans like Karl Rove enabling and backing up his lies. Their motivation is simply to hang on to power (and riches) any way they can.
Ive stated many times since Romney started running for the presidency way back when that Id never vote for him and I will not. He cannot lie his way out of his decades long record of support for abortion, Roe v Wade, planned parenthood, gay rights, gun control, global warming, amnesty, liberal judges, big government, compulsory or socialized health care (RomneyCommieCare), mandates, Keynesian economics, support and approval of TARP, bailouts, stimulus packages, i.e, every damn liberal progressive issue that comes down the pike.
Cmon. These are the reasons the tea party sprang up and the reasons he and Rove loathe the tea party and our tea party conservative candidates. Romney famously expressed his loathing for Reagan-Bush conservatism several years ago when he was trying to run to the left of Ted Kennedy and now hes cloaking himself in Reagan conservatism, knowing full well that its a lie, but he knows its the only way he can possibly win, er buy the Republican nomination.
Screw Romney!! I absolutely will not support or vote for a proven compulsive liar with a known record of abortion and big government socialism, liberal appointments, etc. He still lies about RomneyCommieCare today. Calls it a conservative solution. Get real!!
Listen to what Ronald Reagan had to say about the elites pushing socialism on America via compulsory health insurance:
Ronald Reagan speaks out against RomneyCommieCare
There will be no campaign for this Massachusetts liberal liar on FR!!
Damn the libs and RINOS, full steam ahead!!
But no matter what happens we must turn out in November to vote IN as many conservatives and vote OUT as many rats as possible at all levels of government. If we don't have a conservative at the top of the ticket we must turn out anyway and vote straight conservative DOWN ticket!! Just think of it an off cycle election and pour on the TEA!! It'll be doubly important that we control both houses of congress and as many statehouses as possible.
Restore the 10th amendment!! Impeach the leftist president whoever he may be!! Restore Liberty!! Rebellion comes from the bottom up!!
WOO HOO!! I CAN SEE NOVEMBER FROM MY HOUSE!!
No Bama!! No Romney!! Go tea party rebellion!!
YEp, it’s war, and I do not think I want to risk a visit by the IRS when Zero is elected for having contributed to Romney who pulled his pants down for him. Romney is going to be hated by liberals and by the base, way to go globalistas UN diplomatic RINO sell outs of their neighborhoods.
That says it all, doesn’t it?
Alinsky derivative on the left, or Alinsky derivative on the right?
Correct answer:
(C) NEITHER
They’re called principles, and morons like you who don’t have them have nothing except the pity of your betters.
1) Support Romney's opposition which is now only Newt Gingrich.
And if that does not work...
The choice is either 4 more years of Obama OR 8 years of Romney redefining conservatism to the point where Dennis Kucinich would be considered a centrist by 2020.
I'll be on a 4 year vacation in Costa Rica
You must have missed the Etch-A-Sketch reset comment from his campaign staffer.
I've got children. There are things more important to me than smug self-congratulations.
Going to school I never liked principals. And I liked vice-principals even less!
Now, "principles," those are always good. Without them you might as well be a Democrat.
When will it get better?
“This election for sure!” you say!
If Obama or Obamalite,
Will not roll the Debt away,
Then we must tell the GOP-e
“You are done,
Now step away.”
In times before,
Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Dumber,
Played the Election Charade.
Now that we again
Have splashed the Tea to Sea,
Join or step aside,
For we will not turn back.
You gotta laugh at these guys that beg to be zotted!
Why not just sign off and never sign back on again?
I call them ‘Grand standers’..
Look at me! Look at me! I got ZOTTED!!
lol!

| Breitbart at CPAC2012 February 10, 2012 I don't care who our candidate is You want a unity speech? I'll give you a unity speech. I don't care who our candidate is. I haven't since the beginning of this... ask not what the candidate can do for you, ask what you can do for the candidate! And that's what the Tea Party is. We are there to confront the radical left on behalf of our candidate! I will march behind who ever our candidate is. Because if we don't, we lose. There are two paths! There are two paths! One is America, the other is Occupy! One is America, the other is Occupy! And I don't care, and along the way... I've realized over the last three years that the Republican Party and the conservative movement is not what ABC, CBS and NBC put on the screen. They try to portray you in the worst possible light... and when I travel around the United States meeting people in the Tea Party who care -- black, white, gay, straight -- anyone that's willing to stand next to me to fight the progressive left, I will be in that bunker, and if you're not in that bunker 'cause you're not satisfied with this candidate, more than shame on you. You're on the other side. |
FU JimRob!! Will that do it???
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yep. That’ll do it.
Not ignoring anything. Just asking a very practical question: Do you really believe that Obama is no different than Romney? That a Romney Supreme Court nominee would be just as bad for the country as an Obama nominee?
If you believe that, well then that’s some real world-class “ignoring” going on there...
This thread reads like an extended suicide note...too much emotion, not much reasoning going on. Just a lot of “my way only, to hell with you.” Sorry to see it.
Let me translate that into plain English from the Romney Republican dialect:
"Romney is the only one who can afford to buy us off in the amounts that we think we're worth!"
The closest we ever came to losing a P to old age was FDR. The vast majority were not age related.
You’ve been here over five years and still don’t know how to ping someone when you’re talking to or about them.
You go ahead and check back here in a month or two and see if Jim still means what he says. I’m betting he will.
To JR..”You’re going to wind up getting the ZOT.”
From Mariner: You know Jim owns the site, right?
The ZOT, is two ways, brother.
Seems it is impossible to reason with people today.
I was agreeing with 90% of what you said.
I’ll type slow so everyone can understand it.
Don’t support Mitt. FINE I understand it. Just refuse to discuss him sort of like the Amish shunning someone.
Just work your butts off getting Tea Party Conservatives elected to every possible office.
On the Mitt issue, it serves no purpose to keep giving our communist enemies more information which they will use to not only smear Mitt (fine with me) but paint anyone associated with the GOP/Conservatives/Tea Party with the same brush.
I for one will not do opposition research for the progressive filth in this country regardless of the political party they are hiding behind.
Thank You Ben. You are probably getting flamed like I am
Romney IS Progressive Left. I’m not voting for him. Period.
Jim, great job on doing the best you can and not compromising your values. Let’s elect the most conservative Senate and House we can. Let’s win over and over again and get our country back.
LOL...I'm pretty sure you don't know how funny that is beginning to sound.
Romney by same miracle of fate wins the presidency. He decides to ‘reform’ Obamacare. You know just tone it down a notch. It passes and becomes a Republican Triumph and we can never be rid of it and the first chance the democrats get it will be back up to full power. That my fellow Americans could be a far worse outcome than Obama; at least know he is the enemy.
“I don’t care who our candidate is. You want a unity speech? I’ll give you a unity speech. I don’t care who our candidate is.”
Wow, Breitbart was a RINO? /s
“You honestly believe Romney, warts and all, would be worse than what weve got?”
Yes, if you define worse as the destruction of the conservative movement.
And the next Supreme Court person will be Kegan II.
The problem is that Romney is not "our" candidate and no matter what he says now, his record unequivically demonstrates that he is the "progressive left."
What part of “Romney appointed LEFTWING judges as Governor” do you not understand?
If you are asking that question then you really don't know what principles are. No slight intended but your statement is a complete rejection of the concept of principles.
Matthew 16:26For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
What would it take to get ONE true conservative entered into the next GOP Presidential primary race (if there is even another one), rather than 5 or 6 to tear each other apart leaving the one liberal progressive RINO left standing (because he has the megabucks and backing of the RINO GOPe organization)? Even if we had closed primaries and had all primaries on the exact same day, if you have 5 conservatives and one liberal candidates and most Repubican votersle want a conservative, it seems the conservative vote will be split up and the moderate edges them out every time.
Lets get behind Newt and hope and pray that he can defeat Romney or at least force a brokered convention, but is it possible to come up with a better plan next time?
Heres an idea my husband and I had talked about. I’m sure there are flaws but maybe it’s a start.
What if we had some kind of constitutional party within a party branch of the Repub party whose leadership would take the records of those wanting to run under its label, and evaluate those guys using their track records of past voting, also look at organizations theyve belonged to, people they have and do surround themselves with ,etc. Somehow, this group would look at the records of all those who wanted the cherished title of Conservative Republican and narrow down the list to best 2 or 3. These people would have to commit to a platform of Constitutional conservative principles and have a proven track record that they have done a great job in past leadership at the state level. Then you would have state by state caucuses (of this party within a party) that would vote for the Constitutional Conservative candidate that would be run against the GOP3 guy in the main primary season. How would you decide who gets to vote in those caucuses? I don’t know...., but anyway the idea is somehow you come out with one strong, vetted conservative ready to go head to head with the GOPe RINO yuck choice we are given every year since Reagan, and maybe an alternate or secondary choice as a backup.
This would all be done BEFORE the official R primary season even got started. Anyone who wanted to run under the Conservative /Constitutional Republican label/endorsement and even be considered by the Conservative leadership for support would have to commit that they would abide by and support the candidate that the conservative wing leadership & caucuses choose. This way we dont have a circular firing squad of conservatives killing each other off, where the last one standing is the worst we could possibly hope for, which is exactly what GOPe wanted all along.
If we did this and had ONE truly conservative candidate, and had all the other potential candidates pledging to support him(else they forego being allowed to use the official label of the Constitutional Conservative wing), if we have this one candidate vetted and then support him with huge amounts of money, organization etc, we wouldnt be railroaded by the GOPe every election cycle. We could actually get a good solid conservative with a chance to beat the GOPe/RINO guy and have a chance to have a clear alternative in the next election.
Is this even possible? Isnt this just what the Marxists have done within the Democrat party? This is just something my husband and I have talked about over and over, what can we do to keep from splitting the conservative vote in the primaries every single election cycle? Im sure there are flaws in this but it just seems we keep doing the same thing wrong every election cycle and it seems with all the smart people on FR that understand politics better than I do, that maybe we can get an idea rolling here that might make a difference in how the primary candidates are chosen?
Both Antonin Scalia and Anthony Kennedy will be turning 80 in the next 4 years. Regardless of whether we get Obama or Romney, if we lose either Scalia or Kennedy we will be screwed.
With Obama, we will get another Elena Kagan or Sonia Sotomayor. With Romney, we will get another David Souter, Sandra O'Connor or William Brennan. Either way, there will be a left wing majority on the Supreme Court legislating from the bench for another 30 years.
Be afraid. Be very afraid.
Well, you are somewhat disadvantaged in that little war. You can simply quit posting, but no one will know or care.
Jim, I understand and respect what you say here but it is not responsive to my post to you.
You think Romney is an evil liar and you will not vote for him. Got it.
But previously you said that I posted lies. I did not.
I intend to vote for the GOP nominee whoever it is. This does not mean that I don't think that Romney is an evil liar; I do think he is this. I just have a different estimation than you do regarding what is the correct choice to make in this particular, very lousy situation.
(In 2008 I voted for McCain who I thought was an evil liar as well. He's not as bad as Mitt, to be sure, but evil and a liar nonetheless.)
Having a different opinion is not the same thing as telling lies, and no one should be falsely called a liar.
I'll repeat what I said above. You're firing pretty wild these last few days and you're hitting some friends. Maybe you ought to reconsider what effect this will have on FreeRepublic going forward after the election.
Harriet Meyers.
Remember her, and that conservatives in Congress made Bush withdraw the nomination?
Yes, a liberal republican could force republicans’ hands with party loyalty. However, he also would find himself pressured by his party.
Plus it is not so simple for Romney to walk back his entire campaign and the republican party platform. Which of course assumes he has any such plan or desire.
Maybe Romney really believes in some things he is pushing, like a military second to none. Because Obama is disarming us and is promising to sell us out more after reelection.
Breitbart was a good man. A great one even. I don’t agree with him on this.
Oh come on, Jim, you and I and 99% of FR will end up voting for Romney simply because the alternative is unthinkable.
Thank you WindFlier.
Like I said: some real world-class “ignoring” going on there.
Just how many time did a justice like Sandra Day O'conner (a justice much like Romney will appoint) vote for a strict construction of the constitution?
About as often as Kagan.
“Another Romney Republican bumper sticker!”
I truly hope you are keeping track of all of those. I think Bishop Willard will win, and those who voted for him will deserve the reminders as the country continues hard left, but under tighter control and smarter, more aggressive management.
So, let me get this straight: you would sell your soul to the devil to keep Obama from getting reelected? Because voting for Romney is an ends-justify-the-means thinking that is an on-ramp to that highway.
I don’t like Jerry Brown either but when he stands against the unions, I cheer him on like a brother in arms.
In Vietnam we lost a lot of good pilots under a situation called target fixation. The fighter pilot would be so committed to a target on the ground, he would forget to pull up and actually fly the aircraft into the ground.
Pull up.
LOL!
It was easier to make than the thought of voting for Mitt.
A thought that might be helpful to some of the ABO’s around here (of which I was one when I woke this morning).
An ‘R’ does not mean a win for conservatives.
Conservatives have found themselves in the minority within their own ‘R’ party. And just why are we in the minority?
Because when we are given the ABO choice we take it, that's why.
As conservatives, if we choose to stand by what we profess to be our principles then our choice is clear - we can not vote against those principles. In voting for a lesser evil, we betray ourselves while creating a minority of those who stood by them.
