Romney is a pathological compulsive liar. Lie after lie papered over with more lies. Doesn’t even flinch when caught in bald faced lies, simply tells another big whopper to cover up or dodge the issue. Funny thing, the man actually seems to believe his own latest lies and simply ignores the glaring record of his past actions/lies. And you have true blue establishment elite RINO Republicans like Karl Rove enabling and backing up his lies. Their motivation is simply to hang on to power (and riches) any way they can.
I’ve stated many times since Romney started running for the presidency way back when that I’d never vote for him and I will not. He cannot lie his way out of his decades long record of support for abortion, Roe v Wade, planned parenthood, gay rights, gun control, global warming, amnesty, liberal judges, big government, compulsory or socialized health care (RomneyCommieCare), mandates, Keynesian economics, support and approval of TARP, bailouts, stimulus packages, i.e, every damn liberal progressive issue that comes down the pike.
C’mon. These are the reasons the tea party sprang up and the reasons he and Rove loathe the tea party and our tea party conservative candidates. Romney famously expressed his loathing for Reagan-Bush conservatism several years ago when he was trying to run to the left of Ted Kennedy and now he’s cloaking himself in Reagan conservatism, knowing full well that it’s a lie, but he knows it’s the only way he can possibly win, er buy the Republican nomination.

onyx, I am stunned. Newt mathematically simply cannot garner the 1144 delegates, and I don’t see Sarah (whom you know I love), getting the nomination at a brokered convention, were one to happen. So we are left with Mitt or Obama. Mitt, who will be controlled by a (hopefully) Republican House and Senate, or Obama, who will simply continue to govern by executive fiat. Chrissake, just today Obama dictated that the press pool must use only Government computers only when the DOL releases unemployment info. Our country is toast if Obama gets a 2nd term, but I am supposed to send the Republicans a protest message by not voting for the only thing that keeps us from the dissolution of this country as we know it? Really?

I don’t understand why the others cannot respect our convictions. It is very simple. Romney is a liberal and he will change conservatism- the party would love to get rid of the conservative movement. The one guy I was discussing this with on another thread was more interested in discussion and gave me a thread or two to read about Newt, and I am still going through them and feeling a little better about him possibly winning at the convention.
I think conservatives have lost power in the GOP. We are not wanted. I still cannot believe they really expect us to vote for Romney.

His position on it doesn’t make a difference now. What does make a difference is his absence. We lost a true soldier and patriot.
I too admired him for his loyalty to Palin. He introduced her during the rally in Wisconsin. Very exciting ... it was during the Union’s hissy fit and they were there protesting and trying to drown out him and other conservative speakers and in classic Andrew Breitbart style he said:

If Newt announced he was going to make a major announcement, the press would think he’s bowing out and show up to dance on the grave of conservatism.
Then if, instead, he introduces Sarah Palin as his running mate... well that would be monumentally spectacular. He might even win the rest of the primaries.
I never said Romney was a Conservative. I said giving Obama 4 more years would lead to the dissolution of our Country as we know it. Aside from governing by executive fiat wherein he will implement all of his anti-American agenda, he will appoint at least 2, possibly 3 SCOTUS, with which we will be burdened with for 30 - 40 years. An (R) controlled House, and hopefully (R) controlled Senate will not allow Mitt to do something similar.
Please do not take God’s Word out of context to try to support a political point.
The context of that verse is not dealing with a person who has to make a voting choice between two lousy candidates he/she would rather not vote for. The context is the whole world is not worth losing eternity in heaven.
People are not going to lose heaven over a vote. Not having Jesus as Savior and Lord denies someone heaven. The vote, you will have to give an account for, but you won’t lose heaven over it.

3. Supported Abortion wholeheartedly

8. Implemented a state level “Assault” Weapons Ban after the Federal AWB was allowed to expire.
