Notice: Free Republic has been in full rebellion mode since 2008 and will remain in full rebellion mode for the duration!

No more Doles!! No more McCains!! No more RINOS!!

NO ROMNEY!!

Those who cannot stomach rebellion might as well start looking for a new home on the net!!

Those who have ignored my hundreds of posts on this crucial issue or who have doubted me these last three or four years might as well get used to it. FR will never support the abortionist, homosexualist, socialist, mandate loving, constitution trampling liar Mitt Romney.

In case you haven't noticed, a TEA Party rebellion is on and Free Republic signed on years ago. There is no turning back. No more crap from the GOP-e!! They've screwed us for the last time!! Karl Rove and Mitt Romney, et al, loathe conservatism and loathe the tea party and took it upon themselves to use their money and connections to destroy nearly every one of our conservative tea party candidates while pushing their big government RINOS. That makes them the enemy. I will not reward that betrayal by giving them my support or my vote.

FR is and will remain a pro-life, pro-limited government conservative site!!

We are beholden to NO ONE!! We bow to no kings!! We bow to NO RINOS!!

I'd rather fight and die like a man than bend over and be screwed by a RINO!! I refuse to kiss Karl Rove or Mitt Romney's rings!! They can kiss my rosy red ass instead!!

FUMR!! FUGOP!!

Long live the rebellion!!

Hope my message is clear.

I thought that a bit odd, for a site where ideas are to be exchanged...
...So, please accept my resignation from Free Republic.

I would suggest you don't leave but instead look at things a little differently. I don't think Jim's goal for this site from the beginning was to be a place to bs about 'ideas' like the back of a coffee shop. Although the platform is a forum, (and Jim, correct me if I'm wrong), the intent of this site was to be a platform for conservative activism. The values that the site is fighting for is set in stone, Jim mentions those many times. What is up for discussion is how to fight for those values.

In other words, this isn't a 'debate club'. You can debate on a thousand other sites. This site should be about 'what's next'. How do you act on the values that unite us.

Not everyone agrees on everything. You can choose to fight it or focus on the areas you agree with and what drew you here. It is like eating dinner with your in-laws. You can agree how wonderful their daughter is and avoid subjects you disagree on and everyone is happy. :->

Stick around. I think I speak for a lot here in that we really appreciate people who has the service history you do.

I guess, to me, Newt saying he wants to take on the establishment is the establishment saying it wants to take on the establishment.

Tell me he’s not establishment after sitting next to Pelosi in the climate change ads they ran that spouted out the liberal bent on global warming. The guy that says if we could combine the best parts of FDR and Reagan (hint there are not any “best parts” of FDR, if you are conservative) we’d be able to meet the challenges of our generation. The guy who was a huge ethanol advocate. The guy who ripped Paul Ryan’s budget plan as “too extreme” - while most conservatives including have criticized Ryan’s plan for being too mild and not fixing things fast enough.

If they didn't learn from Dole, McCain, and soon, Romney, they never will.

I think it's they never will...these threads attests to conservatists willing to follow the Romney Piper all the way to our doom. ....Newt's still in and can change the equation...yet they are still singing the media song for Romney.....amazinging so!

"Let’s get the record straight. First of all, there’s no question that I support 2nd Amendment rights, but I also support an assault weapon ban.

Look, I’ve been governor in a pretty tough state. You’ve heard of blue states.
In the toughest of blue states, I made the toughest decisions and did what was right for America.
I have conservative values. ”

The question was posed to me. I said that I am voting for a Tea Party candidate of my choice, and jersey117 replied to me with the list of those who have endorsed Romney, which of course doesn't matter to me.

I'm writing in Sarah Louise Palin, even when she endorses Romney over the Marxist. She's already said, "Anyone But Obama."

You mention Mitt buying the liberal schpiel on global warming. I agree.

But does it not bother you that Newt actually sat down, and did an ad with Nancy Pelosi, no less, that spouted the exact same liberal viewpoint on global warming?

I for one, don’t want to see what happens when the Occupier exerts his “flexibility”, if you give him a second term.

That is a fear I share. But I won't allow what we call a "progressive liberal" today to become the new "conservative" of tomorrow for the sake of "fear". I believe in addressing problems that arise rather than quaking in fear of the problems that might arise. Obama would only strengthen the case for being perp walked out of the White House should he commit treason. I'll buy a round of Scotch on that day. In the mean time, I am a conservative ... so I don't vote for progressive liberals.

Your post is old news and has been disgused at length....Newt’s the only conservative now and we need to get behind him....far and above anything Romney has to offer....and certainly has the ability and will to take on Obama and win in any dbeate.....and certainly he could take on Romney who will end up with gravel in his mouth as always.

Romney has no plans until he gets to WAshington and they tell him what to do.....Newt on the other hand knows exactly where to take his agenda...on day one...and take on the congress....Romney will be taking us down the road his LDS leaders tell him to go....and it is they who you’ll be voting for....that’s where Romney’s loyality is and he will do as they say....as he’s done already.

I’ll leave it blank or write-in a pro-life conservative

Then the least YOU can do is provide the name of that individual so the rest of us can all be on the same page...Isn't that a logical request?

And I'm curious Jim, what happened to that thread you posted about a month and a half ago requesting everyone to suck it up in the event that Gingrich (who I support) or Santorum don't get the popular vote and to rally behind Romney (who we all detest) in order to get rid of Obama?

There was nothing in that thread that came close to even mentioning voting for a third party..........

and anything that helps Obama win reelection is a bad thing.

So you're in the "I'd vote for Hillary over Obama if she were the Republican nominee?" Gridlocked liberalism is better than liberalism rubber-stamped with an "R."

Okay, I’ll try one more time. You were admonished here later on in this thread by myself and numerous other FReepers because of your arrogant and conceited sounding snobby sounding attitude in the post of yours I first responded to, not for working for any particular candidate. (You must think you are the only one here that has put in long hours working for a favorite candidate). Now you are going the name dropping route! Go drop ‘em somewhere else sonny, you are not impressing anyone here at all. You are the most condescending young’n poster in the history of FR. Try the DUmp kid....they are filled with holier than thou posters I’m told, just like yourself.

So you're in the "I'd rather have an F5 tornado than an F4 tornado hit my family" category?

Gridlocked? Hillary couldn't get healthcare even to the table. Obama crammed it through.

Yeah. So I'd take Gorbachev's Perestroika over Stalin's Western Front and purges.

Just because someone is partisan doesn’t automatically make them “conservative”. This is my concern about Newt. I don’t believe he is conservative, I believe he is a populist. I believe that Newt’s core beliefs are whatever is needed for Newt to personally do well, not that he’s got any foundational anchoring into conservatism because he actually believes it.

Newt does whatever he thinks is best for Newt at the moment. That’s not a conservative governing philosophy. It is unstable and unpredictable. If that means doing an ad with Pelosi on global warming, he does that. If that means ripping Paul Ryan’s budget plan to deal with our out of control national debt, he does that. If that means supporting a healtchare system with an individual mandate, he does that. What the hell am I supposed to believe when he does all that?!? Why should I believe him that he’s a conservative?!?

Surprisingly, I am good with these.

I have always been a “lesser of evils” kind of guy, but anything we can do to bring down the country club blue-blood control of the GOP is OK by me.

I’m good with this. I would like to take back the party and starving them of conservative votes works for me.

For the record, I will ALWAYS take a short term loss to insure a long term gain.

OK, I’ll REBEL . I’m good with that.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MORE RINOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Say, that felt good.

So do I stay a registered Republican or go with “Decline to State”

You remind me of my husband, DrO. We engage in likeminded discussions because we have 7 grandchildren whose futures we're both deeply concerned about. Unlike me he's not voting in this election, so his pro-Romney side is meant to either enforce or break my position.

Critical thinking is always extremely important, but obedience to God is imperative.

I cannot support Romney for several reasons, namely a liar can never be trusted; but also including the manner which he has "sniked" his way to his almost inevitible way to the GOP-E nomination, by trashing, bashing, and lying about his rivals, --- literally spending all but $2 Million out of $45 Million in vicious attack ads against Gingrich to first stop him in Iowa when he was running away with the election in Iowa and nationally according to every poll, and then more reccently against Santorum. He was much more effective against Gingrich, likely because voters caught onto his trash, and Santorum was a very lucky surprise who caught Romney off guard and caused him to spend the extra $20 Million.

I put most of the blame on the stupid, short-sighted electorate for falling for the attack ads they claim to hate and on the media with its lust for the horse race and never ending polls, which are meant to influence voters, not to inform voters of anything relevant. Open primaries are another sore spot altogether.

So just who is this Romney? Strange that he used all that money attacking his Conservative rivals but only spent less than $2 Million promoting himself or his visions and solutions for a better America.

Also strange, that he could not bring himself to call The Marxist Obama, a socialist but we're supposed to believe that if he's the nominee, he's really going to take it to Obama...LOL.

The GOP-E including the TV pundits are arrogantly counting on conservatives to do the right thing again: vote against Obama.

SCOTUS is at stake. Our Republic is at stake. We get it!

Now is not the time to crumble, but the time to stand strong on principle, virtue, integrity and by God, a whole lot of *ARE*!

The primaries aren't over yet! Newt Gingrich remains in the race, just like he said he would from the beginning. A brokered convention is not yet out of the realm of possibility. Vote for Newt and keep praying!

God bless you all, God Bless our Founder and Leader and Long Live Free Republic.

WE ARE IN REBELLION!

Oh my gosh, I don't know how you found the time to write the above... I am just so glad you did. everybody needs to read it, Newt supporter or not. Wow! Thanks you so much for everything... esp your post!
