Funny you mentioned that. I’ve been commuting into Penn Station for years. After 911 most of the Guardsmen were a balanced mix of white, black and hispanic. For the past year I’ve been noticing they are mostly all black and heavily armed. The guardsmen never used to walk around with rifles. In fact I always thought that they carried empty side arms. It was always the SWAT who carried the big guns.

Legally speaking, nothing that he said was illegal.

He emphasized “defense”, and while his “army” is race-based, it could be compared to a block watch.

However, in practical terms what he was describing was *not* defensive, but offensive. It is *not* vigilantism, because vigilantism often has legitimate purposes behind its actions.

In truth, nothing will happen, because there is no organized, or even disorganized racist effort in Florida directed at blacks.

All his “pater-rollers”(*) could do would be to attempt to unlawfully engage citizens who were defending themselves against criminals, by what?, aiding the criminals? Shooting back at people defending themselves with guns against armed robbers?

Shooting at police responding to armed robbery calls?

Other than that, all the NBP could do is to march around, showing how militant they look, in a fashion show sense, and attempt to intimidate innocent civilians.

As long as they keep it peaceful, marching about it not particularly illegal. However, if they violate Florida’s longstanding anti-KKK and anti-riot laws, even Holder won’t be able to help them.
