Romney: ‘I Congratulate Senator Santorum’
TPM ^ | April 10, 2012 | Mitt Romney

Posted on 04/10/2012 11:50:06 AM PDT by Brown Deer

Mitt Romney’s campaign issued the following statement congratulating Rick Santorum:

“Senator Santorum is an able and worthy competitor, and I congratulate him on the campaign he ran. He has proven himself to be an important voice in our party and in the nation. We both recognize that what is most important is putting the failures of the last three years behind us and setting America back on the path to prosperity.”

Bitching does not become you. Newt has been out of the race for 6 weeks. He’s been making nice to Romney now for at least a week. You live inside your own head, totally disconnected from reality. Enjoy your Romney-shit-sandwich. Because you bought and paid for it.

Wow--that's pretty delusional. Newt said last night--he's going to Tampa. He is not dropping out.

And you are really cracked if you think I had ANYTHING to do with Romney becoming the supposed nominee.

I was for Sarah, then Cain, then Newt. How does that equal Romney?

No, the only Freepers who are going to buy the Sh#t sandwich you talk about are the ones who won't right now, donate to Newt's campaign to stop Romney.

You know, like you.

So, chew well.

I wonder when Santorum's supporters will realize they've been had. (crickets)

I believe it was on Fox last week they were discussing whether Santorum would drop out ahead of the PA primary to protect his future viability as a presidential candidate. I hope family, not political viability, was his prime motivator here.

The latest PPP and Rasmussen polling had Romney within the margin of error in PA.

IMPLORE RICK TO THROW HIS SUPPORT BEHIND NEWT:

LOL, dude, you know Santorum's not going to do that, he's in it for himself, just like they all are. He only stopped his campaign now because he was going to lose his home state and his career in all aspects would have been over. There is no way in HELL he is going to endorse or help Newt, Romney's going to win and he wants an invite to the party, plus, he's already begging Romney to help pay off some of his campaign debt.

It's so sad to see people believe that our system has a shred of character left in it.

Have any of you listened to Romney? None of the candidates can eloquate capitalism better than he. He’ll be fine against Obama - so long as he doesn’t listen to y’all.

Listening to all the Romney bashing here, I see the negative campaigning (both ways) has had its effect.

...you know Santorum's not going to do that, he's in it for himself,...

Maybe, but if you're gonna die, I say "die with your boots on." If you make the attempt and it doesn't go your way, nobody can blame you for not trying.

At the day's end (or End of Days, whichever comes first) I won't be the one wearing the albatross around MY neck; I made the call, I gave Santorum the heads-up and told his campaign which way the Conservative wind is blowing. He will do whatever he chooses to do, but if he endorses Romney, it WON'T be on account of my failure to ask him to do otherwise.

I realize it may be a long shot, but it's the ONLY shot we've got right now.

So, are you gonna take that shot, or just roll over?

How will not voting for Romney keep Obama out of the WH?

Also, you do know your tagline is hyperbole right?

None of the candidates can eloquate capitalism better than he.

LOL. When Mitt speaks of Capitalism it is nothing but meaningless blather. I judge Mitt by his actual record in government. In ALL matters, Mitt always moved to increase the power of the State.

Mitt worships at the alter of State Power. There is absolutely nothing that would indicate that Mitt would done anything at all to turn our Republic towards Liberty.

Mitt is incapable of siding with Conservatives. Mitt and his evil supporters have spent years utterly destroying Conservatives.

I will never cast a vote for evil Statists -- on the right, or the left.

I loathe Mitt beyond words. If he had any honesty he would run in the party of his beliefs -- the RAT party.

I will actively encourage everyone I know to NOT vote for Mitt, but instead do a write-in and vote Conservative down the ticket.

Within reason, let’s try this again:

How will not voting for Romney keep Obama out of the WH?

Also, you do know your tagline is hyperbole right?
