President Barack Obama's campaign attacked Mitt Romney's Swiss bank account in a conference call Monday.
Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) emphasized that no presidential candidate has ever had a Swiss bank account.
"So I started asking people: 'Why do you have Swiss bank account?' One, you believe the Swiss Franc is a stronger currency than the United States dollar. And that is apparently the decision the Romney family made during the Bush presidency. And secondly, you want to conceal something. You want to hide something. Why would you have a Swiss bank account instead of one in the United States?

Dickhead Durbin says no one has ever run for president who has a Swiss bank account. He didn’t say where he hides his ill gotten gains.
It’s HIS money! I don’t care if he puts it under his mattress has a huge tank of Gold coins that he swims through like scrooge mcduck or puts it in a bank. Hey Durbin care to check into how much US TAX PAYER money is filed into Swiss Bank accounts by Karzai and his Afgani buddies? I didn’t think so...... Or how much stimulus dough has been laundered through Unions to Obama? Nope Crickets in the Media
Anytime mittens or Santorum is questioned on matters financial or religious, they need to deflect and ask about Hussein’s school transcripts, medical records, housing transactions, and Hussein’s ‘church’. Do this over and over. After a while the media will tire of the response and become critical of the response. That is when the media will stop this line of questioning.
And don’t forget the money that Hussein bundlers in the middle east brought into his last campaign,,, or who paid for him to go to Pockistan,, and Harvard.
The problem with Swiss Bank accounts is that they allow a way to conduct bribery and graft, and not have the evidence available to investigators. Even worse are his Cayman Island accounts. Cayman accounts are impenetrable.
Romney cannot win with this baggage.
How do you know this whole Romney campaign is not just a grand scheme to loot America, just like Obama sent money to his friends as bailouts and stimulus as soon as he had the power?
I don’t trust Romney any more than I trust Obama.

I don’t see any legitimate reason why you should report your back accounts anywhere period. Is it not your money? What business is it of anyone’s where you choose to keep it?
I don’t think its anybody else’s business where you keep your own money. I think you have a God Given right to do with your money what you please. It is after all your money!
The Feds might claim the right to tax it but only while its here or entering this country. Not while its leaving(Article I.9.5: “No Tax or Duty shall be laid on Articles exported from any State.”), and certantly not while it resides or is in uses overseas.
The Federal Government might claim a legitimate right to tax activity here in the united States but NOT outside. The Federal Government does not have domain over the world nor does it own you as its property/slave. The Federal Government can’t therefore legitimately claim any portion of your labor conducted or property held outside of its legitimate domain.
Maybe Romney just wanted to diversify and protect some cash. I wish I was rich enough for a Swiss bank account with Obama coming after all my cash. The article says he put money there under GWB. Maybe he saw what was coming down the pike with “the one”.
In principle, obviously I believe every American can do what he wants with his own money. When you run for office, your decisions on such matters become my business.
If you’re running for governor of Michigan and touting your experience in the auto industry, you probably don’t want to drive a Japanese car.
If you’re running for president of the United States and touting your experience in financial management, you probably don’t want to have your money in overseas accounts.
That shouldn’t be hard for the son of a former Michigan governor and auto executive to understand. The fact that Romney doesn’t shows how the Democrats will be able to paint him as being “out of touch” with America.
It’s going to be awfully hard to defend Romney on things like this if he wins the Republican nomination. We still have a very small window to defeat him... let’s try.

That’s the funniest part of Durbin’s exchange. Pardon me, but isn’t Obama hiding a boatload of information. Maybe Romney or any “R” should point that out to Durbin and open the can of worms.
