Whitney Houston's body was ravaged by scars, cuts and burns when she died, autopsy details showed.
Years of drug and alcohol abuse had left the "Bodyguard" star with a damaged heart and liver, a hole in her nose and 11 front teeth missing.
She also had a needle mark on one arm and was high on a cocktail of nine drugs when she died in a hotel bath in Los Angeles on Feb. 11, 2012.

That's my take on this.
The hotel better be ready for a lawsuit if they set their hot water temp this high.
120 DEGF is plenty.
OMG - what a nightmare! At some level she had to know...
I have always wondered why she was never arrested. It was no secret she used drugs.
Had the world by the short hairs and threw it all away, what a waste.
In the end, she was nothing but a skank. A rich, but now dead, skank.
What has her paycheck to do with anything?
Some BS here. I have my hot water set on 140 and I had to do it myself because the installer refused...I like doing my clothes and dishes in very hot water and I am extremely careful with this hot tap water. I don’t believe hotels have water even as hot as mine.
LOL...you ASSume way too much.
Elvis too, died near broke, drugged, and in a bathroom. But at least, he had all 10 of his front teeth.
How do they know that?
The killer confessed!
She flopped face-first into a 160-degF bath.
This is horrific, shows you the absolute pit of despair drugs can sink you into.
Can we put this thread on hold and criticize the hell out of her tomorrow?
Have you read something different then this full article. It says her back was burned from getting INTO the tub. Also skin was slipping off her leg.
Don't trip over your outrage and fall head first into a tub of scalding water: "... every fallen service member from New Jersey has received the honor during [Christie's] administration."
Whitney Houston autopsy: Singer’s body had trauma from fall into bathtub, was suffering from emphysema
The singer likely suffered a cocaine-induced ‘cardiac event,’ says coroner
A lot of people seem to be reading a different article then is linked here. I finally read it and it does indicate the water may have been about that hot but it says her BACK was burned from getting INTO the tub and the skin on her legs was sluffing off.
Whitney Houston was standing outside her hotel bathtub when something caused her to crash facedown into the scalding water, a famed forensic pathologist concluded Thursday.
The blazing bath was too hot for soaking, and injuries on Houston’s forehead, chest and upper lip suggest trauma from a fall, former Pittsburgh coroner Dr. Cyril Wecht told the Daily News.
Put everything together, and you have somebody who had to be unconscious falling into the water, Wecht said. She falls in and strikes those places and then presses against them as her body is down.
Why the nasty attitude?
Beats me.
My point is just this, Whitney contributed to this society though she obviously fell short as we all do.
I have many fond memories of her music as I came of age in the 80's.
The 80's for me was a decade of youth in my 20's, I did a lot of things that I am not proud of but at least had a Country with promise of the future...can't say that now.
Call me nostalgic, forgiving of a fellow human who perished under tragic circumstances...throw in the fact that it is Easter and well, my previous comment.
I am no better than she was, though she made more money than I did.
"Evidence from police and medical teams showed swaths of skin was burned from Houston's back after she got into the scalding water. It also resulted in "skin slippage" on her legs.
I guess it doesn't really matter one way or the other. She is now dead.
What does Houston's autopsy have to do with Cristy's flying a flag at half staff?
Been there, done that, got the tee shirt.
Only one “save” and he only lasted a couple days from ER to ICU.
maybe she was bobbing for enamel
The elephant in the room—or bathroom—is the illegal drug industry that is consuming more than one talented singer. It is consuming other singers and talented people around the world. It is capturing our youth who cannot find legitimate work and holding them under the spell of addiction. If there is a real world case of a Zombie nation, this is it.
If we were to stop the Cocaine and Heroin market by burning the Cocaine fields and the Opium fields, a huge number of parasites on these drugs would go in a panic. How will they make a living? Where will they get that chemical joy? The reaction, I am afraid, would be an epidemic of thefts to make up for the lost income, looting and armed robberies of drug stores and pharmaceuticals for the legal drugs.
The only answer is a turning to Jesus Christ and the renewing of America’s moral heritage. When humans, with their fragile spirits, have Christ in their hearts, no drug can ever equal the joy it brings in ones life. It is tragic that secular America has taught our youth to laugh at that idea.
Why do you think they call it dope!?
Living the empty godless Hollywhack lifestyle is a killer.
He is Risen
But the official cause of death was still defined as “accidental drowning” with contributing factors.
That will sound a lot better in the coming biographies and bio-pic than “crazy as an outhouse rat from long years of drug abuse”.
....................She climbed into a 160-degF “bath”..................
I find that temperature highly questionable! She coulda’ gone to McDonalds and let hot coffee singe her privates and make a coupla million!

I am sorry. She was beautiful and had a great voice.
I’ve seen it given as 150 in some articles and 160 in others, but either way, that’s too freakin’ hot. Normally 120 is considered about right, 130 is extremely hot, and 140 is dangerously hot.
Haha...your moniker fits you well.
Her autopsy drives home and reinforces the fact that Christie ordered the flags flown at half staff for a lousy, celebrity junkie.
It does doesn't it?
What Christy did was of his own stupid volition, it has nothing to do with the unfortunate demise of Houston and her circumstances, he chose to do it.
Again, it has nothing to do with this thread and her autopsy results.
Dye your hair Brunette, maybe then you'll learn to differentiate ;)
“... every fallen service member from New Jersey has received the honor during [Christie’s] administration.”
Thanks for the answer. It was a legitimate question.
Isn’t it amazing how some of the members have a bizarre need to deify a self destructive disco diva?
Hey, her music will “live forever”!
The comment was perfectly appropriate and had everything to do with the subject of Whitney Houston.
I wasn’t expecting an attack a pop-diva fanatic, thanks for the support!
“She climbed into a 160-degF “bath” and drowned”
On her own? I don’t know about you, but not even with sedatives, nor after major surgery on a morphine drip, would I put more than a briefly-immersed toe into 160-degree water.
Yes, her singing came from great courage, and invoked enormous energy. Sometimes I think the reason so many performing artists get into drugs is that the energy that pours through them from having millions of people focus on them is literally unbearable. So they turn to drugs to help moderate the effect, and then the drugs take their inevitable course.
People are so very quick to damn. So many people seem to be religious just to have a position from which to pronounce the failings of others, and lick the tasty treat of the idea of them in hell.
When in actuality, they never faced on their darkest day, what the victims of their scorn had to endure for years.
It reminds me of that warning in the Bible: "I know you not."
I have many fond memories of her music as I came of age in the 80’s.
I’m from the same era, but my tastes ran more towards Led Zepplin and AC/DC.
Of course, when Bon Scott and Jon Bonham chocked to death on their own vomit, their deaths were due to foolish and self destructive behavior.
That didn’t change the fact that they were great artists. The fact that they were great artists didn’t change the fact that they died foolishly.
Whitney Houston’s death was sad, unfortunate and unnecessary. She was a pop diva.
Well said.
Obviously too many idolize the morons in Hollywood who pretend to be somebody.
They read lines written by others, and so called act out “our lives”.Be it police, fire, lawyers,Drs.nurses, farmers etc....then have a big party in Hollywood where they honor themselves.
Go figure.

With all the twisted comments on this article, why is LVR busting my chops?
(Besides, he hit me first, pissed that I preempted his planned "her music will last forever" post.)
How does she warrant the same honors as those given to fallen warriors?
If you think her music has earned her such honors, I'll remind you of your words...”Yet she made more money then you will ever see in your life time.”
Between money, grammies and fame, she has already received honors and recognition.
Jimmy Page is a great artist. I'll be just as annoyed if our flag is flown at half staff when he dies.
Our flag is more than a piece of cloth and it should not be flown at half staff with such wanton disregard for its prestige.
Why don't you defend the indefensible instead of running for support??
Yo nooob, if'n you can't stand the heat git out of the kitchen.
You ain't paid yer dues to go cryin, yet.
The only answer is a turning to Jesus Christ and the renewing of Americas moral heritage
Thank you for the only sane comment I’ve read here (including mine)!
