Tyler Perry Pulled Over, Says Racial Profiling
Reuters ^ | April 5th, 2012 | Andrew Chow

Tyler Perry's April 1 Facebook post about police pulling him over was no April Fool's joke: The highest-paid man in entertainment is accusing a pair of white Atlanta police officers of racial profiling. Four days later, Perry's post boasts more than 117,000 "likes," 21,000 comments, and 12,000 shares. Atlanta police have launched an internal investigation, E! News reports. Perry's predicament began when he admittedly made a left turn from a far-right lane -- a trick his security detail taught him, to make sure he wasn't being followed, Perry explained on Facebook. Two white Atlanta police officers pulled him over, but apparently did not realize they'd just stopped Tyler Perry.

So like his face is familiar or something? Still never heard of him. A cop is supposed to know who he is, and because he’s black he’s above the law?

Exactly.

He wants it both ways. Cops saw him make an illegal turn in a car so tinted the cops couldn’t see who was inside.

I’ve actually never seen any of his movies, but I did know who he was based on his fame.

Now I know who he is based on his character.

Or maybe he’s related to Steve Perry?

Since he seems to spend most of his time looking like this, the policeman probably didn't recognize him. He seems to have just the one character.

You now know WHO he is and WHAT he is.

You obviously don’t understand. The windows were tinted DARK, and that’s why the white police officers pulled him over. His position, no doubt, is that if his windows had been solid white, he would not have been pulled over for the illegal left turn.

So, essentially, he made an illegal turn, and had unlawful passenger-side tinted windows, and now it’s like, racism, or something...

If I was the cop I would have asked for his race card, punched it, and sent him on his way.

“Giving excuses for breaking the law is never a good defense when being pulled over either.”

Wait just a darn minute.

Assuming the officer did ask why he made the illegal turn, and Perry did answer something along the lines of “to ditch anybody who might be following me”, and the ossifer followed up with “Why do you think someone would be following you?”; how is that exchange of questions and answers “Giving excuses for breaking the law”?

He should have produced this and the cops would have sent him on his way.

I just read the story. There is NO evidence of racial profiling. That said, there is clear evidence of “famous person” profiling in their later apologetic attitude.

If I were driving in a car with possibly too dark windows and made a turn like he did, I’d expect at least a stern warning “with attitude” from the cops, and I’m white. I’d probably get a ticket if I were under 30. If I was a jerk, they’d probably wright me up for the tint too.

The black cop likely said, “This guy(Perry) is rich and thin skinned, will likely pull the race card big time, and you don’t need the personal grief that will cause.”

IF the cops were behind him and his tinting was so dark then how did the cops know he was black?

He got pulled over because he made a illegal left hand turn, just like you or I would. When he gave his excuse as to why he did it of course it flew up a red flag to the cops, just like it would if we said it.

Perpetual victim and race baiter doing nothing more than stirring up problems. A redneck in a rusted pickup truck doing the same thing would have gotten the same questions and treatment, but not had a black cop come up and demand he be treated differently.

So, here’s what seems to be going on.....racist black liberals have been waiting for YEARS for something like the Trayvon case to come about, so that they can insist that they continue to be persecuted with racism by THE MAN in this day and age. Of course, it turns out to be a big facepalm, as Zimmerman is Hispanic, is an Obama-supporting Democrat, had defended a black man in a previous police brutality case, did not make a racial slur on the 911 call, and was acting in self defense.

OOPS!

So, now, all of a sudden, EVERYTHING bad that happens to a racist black liberal is RACIST. In this Tyler Perry case, there was absolutely no hint of racism, as he did break the law, but he will call it racist.

This is what the goal of the racist black liberals are:

— If you commit a crime, you can not get arrested, because you are black.

— If you suck at your job, you can not get fired because you are black.

— If you have no qualifications, you still must be hired, because you are black.

— If you are a D student, you still must get admitted to college because you are black.

— If you have no talent, you still must get that Oscar, because you are black.

Those rational among us will consider this racist to the extreme, but to the racist black liberal, this is justice.

And this, is the America that the demon in the white house has sprialled us down to. Just like Marion Barry in DC wanting to get rid of entrepreneurial hard working Asians, we will not aspire to greatness and achievement, but instead wallow in mediocrity because of the liberal need to be politically correct.

Happy now RACIST STUPID LIBERALS?

If his windows are tinted how could the police tell if he was black?

The only thing I find objectionable are the officer’s alleged actions after the second cruiser containing a black officer arrived. Becoming “apologetic” because they realized Tyler Perry is above the law??????? What a joke.

Well, we only have his word on that. He could be lying about some or all of this story. In fact, I'd bet on it (but not $10,000.00 :D)

Sounds like Perry did the “trick” his security people taught him on purpose to be able to claim profiling.(The magic word for minorities). Also I hate it when celebs try to act like they are Jack Bauer because there “Security People” taught them a couple of techniques.....

Did his security detail teach this trick to all black people?

Because I see a lot of them using it every day. Black people, and little old white ladies who can't even see over the dash.
