President Obama describes his energy policies as ones that "invest in stuff that's new" and "stop subsidizing stuff that's old."
But several of Obama's energy priorities are very "old stuff" -- wind, electric cars, batteries, trains -- much of it predating the gasoline engine, and little finding much commercial success despite massive public investments.

Stop supporting anything that works.
Invest heavily in anything that doesn’t work.
Been blowing that horn for years. Wind power went out with rural electrification in the 30’s. It is a latter day scam, dependent on subsidies, bad science, and good salesmen to keep it afloat. It should be used as a torture instrument for long nosed environmental busybodies. At 30% efficiency on a good day when the wind is blowing, and not too little, and not too much, it is not the poster child for future usefulness. A lot of someones, have conveniently forgotten too much history, and doom follows.
I think he’s trying to run Capitalism in the ground! Vote Republican!
