Esther Petrack, made famous in the US as the first observant Jewish contestant on “America’s Next Top Model” in 2010-2011, is now a soldier in the IDF Armored Corps.
Petrack, born in Jerusalem but raised in Boston, Massachusetts, caused an outcry in American Orthodox circles when her participation in the popular reality show led her to lift her shirt, participate in scantily clad photo shoots, and take part in other nonkosher activities.
Petrack was conscripted into the IDF in December, and is now on the path to becoming a tank instructor.
Her impressions of IDF service? Petrack told Channel 2 that: “My nails are no longer what they were, but the girls in the course are nicer than those on the show.”

Beautiful women with a soul and purpose, which kinda makes a difference.
We had at least one posting here a year or two back. I found some very impressive IDF women doing a short search.

Check out some American women soldiers. I happen to have a picture of one :-) not available for publication. 5’ 11”, slim as a rail, smile that would make the sun rise, eyes that match her BDUs, wildly curly dark hair neatly tucked under her hat, snuggled up with some cute Iraqi children. Soldiers who try to talk down to the lady find that she’s bigger than they are. Yeah, I confess, she’s my daughter, and happens to be half Jewish as well.
You must be very proud. Well done.

Spankentruppen is an old FReeper Foxhole term.
It started with bicycle mounted machine gun bearing shock troops in an online war game.
That evolved into finding all manner of photos of actual soldiers, from any time or army, riding bicycles while toting arms.
That evolved into bicycles with fixed mounted guns. Yes we found photos.
Then somebody in the dim past posted a picture of the Queen album cover with a girl on a bicycle.
Which leads to...
The current version of Spankentruppen: who are women in any military, especially US and Isreal, who arm toting arms.
On or next to a tank qualifies.

Anoreth is a gunner for the US Coast Guard, but it’s not the same as tanks.

Anoreth is far too short (5’1”) to be a model ... or a gunner in any service but the Coast Guard. Even there, the riot shotgun knocked her on her teakettle.
The Tax-chick household has a great deal of respect for the State of Israel and the IDF.
