I think you guys are referring to title Nine (IX), which is mostly well known to the public for ruining men’s college sports on behalf of women, and you mean to refer to title Ten (X), which deals with health care.

No I was not referring to Title IX of the Federal Code, I was referring to Title IX of the Act. Here is the link:

Sorry, here is a direct link to the Obama care Act:

http://burgess.house.gov/UploadedFiles/hr3590_health_care_law_2010.pdf

I was referring to Title IX of the above Act, not to Title IX of the CFR.

"2. OUTSIDE OF THE INDIVIDUAL MANDATE, WHAT IS IT IN THE REST OF THE LAW THAT IS DESIRED BY THE LEFT?"

Nothing but total control of all citizens, and the medical profession- that's all. With or without the individual mandate.

Title IX of the Obamacare Act is not before the SCOTUS, it will not be reviewed. It’s entirely constitutional anyways.

It will be left standing if severability is deemed implicit.

I will bet that severability will be deemed implicit as the Court of Appeals decision rendered it. Hence, Title IX stands and the liberals win.

Her race? She’s whiter than Hugh Grant’s belly. You’re thinking of Sotomayor.
Kagan’s the dyke.

It is Justice Sotomayor who is of minority race.

Sotomayor claims to be a "wise Latina". This is in contrast to that Zimmerman fellow in Florida who is a "white Hispanic". Can someone please tell me how to tell the difference?

“That this supposedly rational people, purporting to be “conservatives” are arguing for this monstrosity in the Junk media is a sign of just how deep the rot in our political system has sunk in. There is no moral, legal or rational justification for this law.”

Even a conservatives in Washington are not immune to the corrupting allure of boundless power over the health of every individual in the US. If the lawless Federal Employees in black robes uphold this userpation many things will have to happen to restore our freedom. riding ourselves of these corrupt lawless “conservatives” may be one of them. Purging various factions of the left using this government control of of everyone’s healthcare is anther.

It will not be difficult to wipe out not only abortion, but birth control, and many so called “health services” of specific interest to spesfici segments of the population we know to be leftist.

Thus providing us with a tool to directly force the left to feel the pain of their usurpation of our rights to our own health financial management.

Once the left grows angry at us we shall remind them that they wanted this, that they wanted to be dominated, that they wanted their money to be controlled by us. That like thieves they thought they could steal from us and enslave us, but the lawless street of boundless power in Washington is 2 ways and Nobody wins.

Indeed when all is said and done, they and their posterity will be killed, because there will be no law(limits) to protect them only the changing wims of a dictatorial(boundless) majority.

This is the consequences for killing our republic, as far as Im concerned the lives & liberty of leftist are fortfit by their willful act to rob from us the same life & liberty.

“1. AS SCOTUS EXPECTEDLY STRIKES DOWN THE INDIVIDUAL MANDATE, WHY IS THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ARGUING THAT THE REST OF THE LAW SHOULD REMAIN INTACT?

2. OUTSIDE OF THE INDIVIDUAL MANDATE, WHAT IS IT IN THE REST OF THE LAW THAT IS DESIRED BY THE LEFT?”

Perhaps they desire to bring about the collapse of the health insurance industry? If that is their desire then it is one I share, if prices are to come down & under control Most health care goods & services must be bought out of pocket by the individual using them.

They want to control it, not collapse it, but insurers that don’t submit will be driven out of business.

Prices may come down under government run healthcare but so will services. When the business no longer rewards those who train so hard to be licensed practitioners, the standards will be lowered and the quality of the professionalism will decline.

One thing is for sure, the government will have a new grab bag of issues to push when it comes time to raise health related taxes. As more people are offloaded from private plans and seek coverage under government backed plans, taxes will go up.

I’m going to guess that severablity is “understood” and is less of an issue than the “mandate”.

I still can’t believe KAGAN was not forced to RECUSE....

You're surprised? One used to have to go to Central America to visit a banana republic. You don't even have to leave home now. You wake up, you're there.

Anyone who has declared that they will not vote in November if their choice for POTUS does not win the nomination should reflect that another term for The Kenyan would change the face of the Supreme Court for years to come.

I don't care.
I feel better equiped to deal with the fallout, and don't have as much to lose.
For me, halfway measures by a RINO only prolongs the ultimate demise of the Republic.

I’ll bet SCOTUS strikes down the individual mandate but leaves Title IX standing. No one talks about Title IX of the Act. The reason is because that title is entirely constitutional.

Irrelevant. Legally, the way the law was written, it must be struck down (or upheld) in its entirely.

That said, I fully expect our corrupt SC to uphold part of the law & strike down part. The Constitution be damned.

“They want to control it, not collapse it, but insurers that don’t submit will be driven out of business.”

Any insurance company NOT on their “list” will be out of business almost impermeably. They will all be in the pocket of the administration. Democrats will uses this to push their ideological agenda upon every individual American. Republican if they are ever able to regain power will do likewise. In either case every american’s freedom & control over their own wallets and bodies will be dramatically reduced in practice.

It is not a difficult thing to make a health care company mandate more things, such as exercise and diet in exchange for coverage. Indeed financially this is a necessary for a 3rd party to have any hope of controlling costs because your healthcare costs are a direct result of your life choices & behavior.

With the power to subjectively mandate behavior so goes the last vestige of real freedom.

Very unfortunately that is true.

Nothing short of divine intervention could prevent the coming economic crash. As regards the Republic, it is already dead. But, like a zombie, it doesn't know it. Upholding ObamaCare will simply put a bullet into the head of the zombie.
