Was Trayvon Martin a Drug Dealer?
Wagist ^ | 3/25/12 | Dan Linehan

Above is the iconic picture we’ve been become accustomed to seeing everywhere in the media, used to represent the recent Trayvon Martin shooting in Sanford, Florida. From everything the public has been told, Trayvon Martin was a fresh-faced, innocent looking teenager and the visage of the man who shot him, George Zimmerman, is right out of a booking photo.

The media narrative being sold is quite clear, Trayvon Martin is the innocent victim here and George Zimmerman is a horrible bigot who attacked the young man for doing nothing more than buying skittles while being black. Even Barack Obama seems to accept the fresh-faced innocence of Trayvon, stating, “If I had a son, he would look like Trayvon.” More on that later.

It’s becoming more and more clear however that the innocent appearance the mainstream media is so desperate to apply to Trayvon isn’t at all accurate. The picture we’re used to seeing to represent Trayvon Martin appears to be a far cry from how he actually looked once he was a few years older.

I’ve not seen that one either. I note that he is darker and his lips are quite a bit fuller than they were in the red shirt Hollister pic when he is younger.

I can’t say for certain, perhaps it’s just the angle of his head in that pic.

The only broken noses I’ve really seen are associated with martial arts and MMA, and they generally show as a crooked nose where it literally looks as if it was pushed sideways.

It’s possible that it was broken at some point based on the fact that he played football, but just speculating on that.

I don't practice crim law, but I do know a few things. Hopefully the cops did things by the book in their forensic tests and evidence chains.

There was a lot of complaints about Zimmerman not being questioned at the scene. The fact that he was detained tells me much more. Hopefully the tests were done properly. There's some speculation about that, but the truth there we should find out later. I'm interested in what the Florida grand jury does.

No, not at all, yes I realize that.

I used to be a leftist when I was younger. An atheist.

But then I saw the Lord working in my life, and I knew I was wrong.

This evening, after being able to verify the veracity of the images being shown around here lately, I find myself depressed, sad.

The people that are doing this, the media, the race mongers, politicans, presidential candidates, the president himself, those who wish for unrest...they don’t care if an innocent man gets hurt or killed.

They don’t care if he goes to prison or the execution chamber. They don’t care if he is drawn and quartered in the street by furious people. They don’t care if it happens to his wife, or his friends. They don’t care if the people who may riot kill any other innocent bystanders. They don’t care if the people they incite to riot get killed themselves.

They don’t care if cities burn over this. They don’t care if the military comes in and kills or gets killed, or police men for that matter. They don’t care about truth, or justice, or order, or rights, or anything of the sort.

They only care about power. Their power. And they will use any means no matter how heinous, horrific, or Evil to achieve it.

I am sickened. I am ashamed to be a member of a species that chooses to behave in such ways.

I’d rather be a dog.

God help me, this is messing with my head.

I have a question. How did this all get started to begin with? I mean this happened Feb 26 right? What caused this to erupt? (do you know?)

I know.
Remember the attack on Rush Limbaugh a couple of weeks ago after he inferred that the 30-year-old Democrat activist student from Georgetown was a "slut" because she wanted other people to pay for her contraception? That attack plan had reportedly been sitting in a drawer at Media Matters since 2009, just waiting for a Rush gaffe so that the plan could be set into motion.

Similarly, somebody had a plan for a juicy "race" blowup sitting in a drawer just waiting for the right story to come along. Well, a promising story came along and after making sure they had a sympathetic black and an unsympathetic non-black with a good white-sounding name, a few journolisters got their ears whispered into and voila!, the Democrat "mainstream" newsrooms had their wish fulfilled, the agitprop commenced, and a "race" blowup is now in full swing.

What gas prices? What unemployment? What economy?
Look at what that "white" gun-nut redneck did to an innocent young teen who was "walking while black" on his way home with a bag of Skittles!

Meanwhile, 10 more bodies piled up in Chicago last weekend alone.

Please know that I don’t really want that particular pic to be him at all, because if it is him it means the world I live in is garbage and nothing means anything.

But I don’t know what else to say other than I am looking at it right just as I have done about 50 other times this evening, and the mark is there. It’s there.

Meanwhile, on this week’s The Good Wife, the storyline coincidentally revolved around a black guy who was shot by a white police officer in Chicago. The white cop planted a drop gun on the black guy in order to justify him shooting the guy. The drop gun had been used in a robbery two years before, and the dead guy was not likely to have had the gun. But authorities ignored the possibility that the cop planted the gun because there was not enough evidence. The show was an illustration of political corruption of the entire justice system. In Chicago. And fear of race riots if the story got out.

God Bless you, little jeremiah.

I’m ground down tonight man. I went looking for answers, I found them, and I’m crushed by them. I wasn’t expecting this result.

Nothing has any meaning, I don’t know what to do, I don’t know who to fight or how to fight them. God in Heaven, I feel lost.

Well, some things still have meaning, such as love. And music. When I get this down I listen to music that takes me back to when things were better. For me it was the 80’s when I grew up.

Gonna listen to some damn obnoxious hippies that made one of the best songs I’ve ever heard in all my years. It really picks me up.

I’ll repeat what I just posted on another thread.

Pray for George Zimmerman. Because while I started out thinking he was an evil doer, I now think that he, like Trayvon Martin, was a foolish doer.

Perhaps he can move now to his mother’s homeland Peru, and start a new life there.

Makes Perfect sense to me. Sad that we now think in these types of scenarios.

Something else, this ‘Stand Your Ground’ law is being attacked by all the usual suspects. There’s even a story in the UK Daily Mail about someone who ‘in FL, survived the horror of the Stand Your Ground law’.

More hotbutton issues are right here in this one story; race, guns,. Chucky Schmucky Schumer was on one of the shows today whining in that serious tone of his about taking another look at that law.

Lord, please Bless and stand guard over George Zimmerman and his family. They are in danger from people who know not what they do nor why they do it. Please do not let us fall so low that we as humans murder an innocent man simply because he had no choice but to defend himself from his attacker.

Lord, Give us your guidance and wisdom so that we may see truth and not lies.

Doesn’t matter what the court says, doesn’t matter whether Zimmerman is innocent, if he is not found guilty and given the death penalty the towns will be burned down. Part of the plan.

I could come up with a GREAT conspiracy theory on this one. The timing for this is just too suspect.

I found a beautiful and uplifting song the other day and I’ve been listening to it almost constantly esp. when on FR.

God is the Perfect Judge, Perfect Bestower of Mercy, Perfect Friend, perfect everything.

Everything works out ultimately according to His will. Our business is to find His will and mold ourselves to it. Many do not and never will in this lifetime. So be it. Each of us has our own destiny to work on.

I’ve been betrayed by my children, parents, old friends, etc. That’s the way the world works. Sometimes you can forgive and still have a working relationship or better, sometimes you can forgive and go a separate path.

Trouble ahead for the world, I am sure. But each soul - each of us - can find that secret place deep in our hearts where it’s just me and God - and find His love and embrace inside, where no one else can see. That is the purpose of life. To find that love of God, even in the midst of the storm. My deepest wish is that everyone seek that love.

Also police responding were using flashlights as evidenced in at least one 911 call.

And i can’t vouch for this, but its been said here on fr, that it was at least somewhat rainy, so possibly some cloud cover making it darker.

This is so frustrating. When making a statement of “supposed facts” the first thing you need to do is read the official police report.

Per the released police report;

The first officer arrived at the scene at 1917 hrs, (7:17 PM), 26 Feb, 2012. Zimmerman was approached by the officer, relayed to the officer that he was the person that called 911, had shot Martin and was still armed. He was disarmed by the officer, cuffed and placed in the back of the patrol vehicle. The officer noted that Zimmerman had injuries to his nose, (bleeding), and the back of his head and that his back was wet and had grass on it.

When paramedics arrived they relieved the two other responding officers of the CPR duties and eventually pronounced Martin deceased, (1930 hrs).

Zimmerman was treated for his wounds in the back of the patrol vehicle and during that period of time he made a voluntary, unsolicited statement that “I was yelling for someone to help me, but no one would help me”.

The officer stated that he later transported Zimmerman to the police station and he was interviewed in the interrogation room by a member of Investigations, (the name of the investigator is stated in the report, but not the division/section he is from).

All the misinformation out there, including this article are pure speculation or purposely made up/slanted.

Until the full investigation is complete, no one knows the truth, but the police report is, at this time, the best unbiased recitation of the facts in the public domain.

I implore everyone to stick to known facts and don’t speculate. There is enough B.S. out there on this case already.

“I mean this happened Feb 26 right? What caused this to erupt? (do you know?)”

Well, we watched the McLaughlin Group this morning and one of the guests said that this case had been discussed in the black media, on radio shows, etc. That this was what had finally brought attention to it.

I’m sorry that I don’t remember her name. She’s been on McLaughlin before and she’s usually pretty good, but she was rather exercised about this subject. She said that black Americans are starting to think of Travon Martin as this generation’s Emmit Till.

Rich Lowry of National Review was on the show too and he told her he thought that was a bit of a stretch.

So this story has been percolating in sections of our new niche-media.

I guess the sticking point is that Zimmerman was not arrested or charged at all. That enables the narrative to be: guy shot an unarmed kid and got away with it.

I've posted the link to maximize the distribution of information actually released by the City of Sanford on the case. Anything not in the info released by the City of Sanford is suspect as to its accuracy, including but not limited to:

1) The purchase and existence of skittles and iced tea.

2) “Locations” that someone unofficial has placed on a purported map of the crime scene.

No doubt there will be more information released in the future. This is a real investigation in progress, and information is not released simply so the public can pour over it at the public’s leisure.

Interesting how much we "know" about the case isn't in what's been released, isn't it? And no, I'm not suggesting anything conspiratorial, just pointing out how much questionable information get's packed into news reports, where people pick it up as Gospel, even people at FR. Even me.

Thank you! The left - the race baiters are speculating and fanning the flames of anger and radical racial white hate in this case without considering the facts; all the facts not being known at this time and the MSM and even at least one GOP presidential candidate are helping them.

But wild speculation and jumping to conclusions from our side is almost as bad, IMHO.

I know some are just trying to bring some balance to a lot of unbalanced reporting and calls for Zimmerman’s conviction without trial, but speculating that Martin was a drug dealer because we all “know” anyone who wears a hoodie has to be one, when so far there are no facts to support that, saying that he was shot at 3:00AM when it was actually around 7:00PM, posting FB pictures of some thug that turns out was someone else who shared Martin’s name, etc., posting web blogs as news reports, it just doesn’t help.

I’m not about to try and convict Zimmerman based on the court of public opinion and the opinions of the Sharptons and Jacksons and I’m also not about to completely exonerate Zimmerman and convict Martin for "having it coming to him" either based purely on speculation.

I can only “hope” that the new prosecutor in this case doesn’t cave to PC and outside pressure and conducts thorough and unbiased investigation and that the truth comes out. Sadly I don’t necessarily think that will happen given that Angela Corey is known for her zealous defense of victim’s rights and her considering this as a “hate crime” (eye roll), but I can still hope.

Unfortunately as so many have already made up their minds, whatever the unvarnished truth turns out to be, if it is ever brought forth, I tend to think no one will be completely satisfied with the outcome.

good post. It’s disappointing to see people taking sides based on political assumptions

The truth is usually somewhere in between.

The NY Post, yesterday, published previous 911 calls Zimmerman had made. One kid was as young as 7 yrs. old. What was he doing? Walking down the street...like Martin.

Now that doesn’t shed light on the details of the final struggle, but it does shed light on how the incident unfolded from the beginning.

Whatever happened between those two...it began with Zimmerman deciding that a person walking down the street was suspicious.

Maybe people really need to see someone actually doing something illegal - or more “suspicious” than just walking down the street? - before they call 911.

Thanks. I spent too many years in military law enforcement and then as a P.I. doing criminal/civil defense work to take my, or anyones first impressions, to be valid. The facts are always evolving in any investigation. Witnesses statements, which it appears were many in this case, physical evidence, 911 tapes and the “person of interest” statement, (he was, from the reporting I have read, not being accused of a crime at the time of the interview/interrogation), all need to be confirmed and evaluated.

The 911 tape, (I have not heard it myself, just going on a recap of it by a reputable news org. and police dept. statements), that Zimmerman said he was walking back to his SUV prior to the incident needs to be verified with time lines to determine if Martin came up to Zimmerman after Zimmerman apparently “broke off his surveillance”. But that determination has not been made public yet, so we can’t speculate on it either.

The Grand Jury needs to be allowed to do their job. However, I am concerned by the reports that the DOJ is looking to try to make this a hate crime if the Florida officials and the Grand Jury determine that there is not a crime to prosecute. That would be a political “pimping” of the situation, IMHO.

It's hearsay evidence, but if believed, it exonerates and Zimmerman and convicts Martin.

I think that list of calls is to the Sanford police non-emergency line.

The community had had a series of burglaries, and the police were in the process of sending a squad car and officers in response to Zimmerman's report of Martin.

As for the 7 year old, is that the incident with kids playing in the street? Maybe he was more concerned about their safety, than suspicious they were up to no good. Just speculation on my part.

The recording is its own timeline, in that regard. Zimmerman stayed on the line for a minute or two after losing sight of Trayvon, and saying that he was going back to his vehicle. There is no sound or report of physical altercation on that tape, so the physical altercation happened after Zimmerman reported to the police that he was returning to his vehicle.

well that’s just it...there’s alot of speculation going on.

Speculation that Zimmerman is a racist...or not.
Speculation about Martin - who cannot give his own side of the story.

I, like everyone else, have my own bias and I speculate the truth is a muddled mixture of all of the above.

What stands out in my mind is Zimmerman’s role as self-appointed watchdog.

In my own life (and therefore affecting my own bias) - these types can create alot of havoc.

In my experience, they can be meddlesome busybodies, but I don't have experience with any that threw a first punch. Of all the contact that Zimmerman made with the police, how many of those incidents have him confronting the person? Maybe he does follow the advice to be nothing more than eyes and ears, and to maintain distance while waiting for police to arrive.

"If that is in fact him, then this entire country IS BEING PLAYED FOR FOOLS, and it is making me extremely angry and sad."

That is what I suspect is going on. Frankly, I don't know if this is going to end up being a legitimate case of self defense--it seems to me as thought it might be, but regardless, I'd just like for the COURT to have the chance to decide before the lynch mob arrives.

than why did the dispatcher feel it was necessary to urge him to stop following?

I know I’m ticking off people here, but obviously I’ve got a big problem with someone taking it upon themselves - when they ARE NOT law enforcement - to follow someone.

I don’t see this “following” business as harmless, and in this case - it set the stage for the rest of the evening.

The Grand Jury needs to be allowed to do their job. However, I am concerned by the reports that the DOJ is looking to try to make this a hate crime if the Florida officials and the Grand Jury determine that there is not a crime to prosecute. That would be a political “pimping” of the situation, IMHO.

I agree. This concerns me very much as well. It’s as if it has been predetermined to be a “hate crime” whatever that is, without any facts in evidence to support it. If anything, perhaps Zimmerman acted rashly but there is no evidence to support that his actions were racially motivated.

I listened to the call, and the voice wasn't in the nature of "urging." That said, this is the same standard advice always give by law enforcement. Don't get involved, call the police. It's more for the protection of the eyewitness.

So, you would NEVER follow a person who just stole the stereo out of your car.

This following business is usually harmless. The police do it all the time, watching what's going on and sometimes following cars when they suspect DUI, etc. Even non law enforcement people do that (follow, to maintain visual contact until the law arrives).

I agree, sometimes it ends badly. Especially when the person being followed over-reacts with unjustified violence.

How recent, I don’t remember, a year or two it said, and I remember the number 40, which I repeated on these threads. Today I’ve found two reports which say one 8, and the other 15 burglaries in the past year. Who do you want to believe?

Over here is a listing of burglary reports, from a link from the town of Sanford's web site. The listing appears to cover a period from 12/2011 to the day of the shooting and is 26 pages long. Where suspects are described, they appear to be young black men.

Yes, the race baiters have ahold of it now. They aren’t letting go either. The Jews of Crown Heights know well what happens to ginned up crowds. The city of Los Angeles experience intense race riots after Rodney King.

Over the weekend I was visiting relatives, and I noticed that there was a LOT of coverage of Martin/Zimmerman. I believe the media are trying to orchestrate a repeat of Rodney King.
