Trayvon Martin Case: New Black Panthers Offer $10,000 Bounty for Capture of George Zimmerman

SANFORD — Members of the New Black Panther Party are offering a $10,000 reward for the "capture" of George Zimmerman, leader Mikhail Muhammad announced during a protest in Sanford today.

The bounty announcement came moments after members of the group called for the mobilization of 5,000 black men to capture George Zimmerman, the Neighborhood Watch volunteer who shot Trayvon Martin last month.

The New Black Panthers will hold a protest in Sanford just before 1 p.m. today, the activist group's third protest in the past two weeks over the fatal shooting of the Miami Gardens teen.

The group called for Zimmerman's arrest and threatened to find and detain him if police were not willing to do so. But group members didn't call for the mobilization of thousands until Saturday.

Muhammed led the group in chanting "Justice for Trayvon!" and "Black Power!"

“Put the broad brush away, please.”

Its not really a broad brush. I know there are many Police who understand their role more fully, and I’m immensely grateful for their presence.

I would say though that they are in a minority.

(I’d be prepared to be corrected on that by someone with accurate information.)

How can someone provide accurate information to overturn an opinion that is, itself, not supported by verifiable facts?

Muhammad said the group's national chairman, Dr. Malik Zulu Shabaz of Washington, D.C. is receiving donations from black entertainers and athletes. They hope to collect $1 million by next week, Muhammad said. The party said they would not release the names of donors nor would they provide documentation to support the existence of donations.

IRS take notice.

You are correct. The New Black Panther Party should be regarded in the same sense as the KKK.

How can you come to the conclusion that the police took appropriate action ( no drug test for Zimmerman, sent narcotics instead of homicide detective, among other things) while even state and national prosecutors and legislators disagree with the way the situation was handled? Surely they are more in the know.

Even the county commissioners (who voted 3-2 no confidence in the police chief) disagree with you that the department handled the care correctly.

With all the people in the know claiming that the investigation was faulty, what makes you (sitting at your computer, instead of on the ground) think that it was handled appropriately?

Peruvian Hispanics probably make up less than 5% of the Hispanic population in America. The rest are overwhelmingly of Puerto Rican, Cuban, or Central American descent.

How so, when the commander of the Armed Forces is black? IF anything, it would turn into a civil war.

A more effective tactic would just be to boycott the state of Florida by spending Orlando and Tampa money elsewhere. The Disney/media lobbyists can’t turn a blindeye to lost revenue and would be quick to step in to influence legislators and necessary people.

Before this turns into a Cop war thread, Threr are many fine cops. I know a few. But when you look at Wisconson and the crap there, the politically run PDs in Chicago, NYC LA and even little Quatrzite AZ, there is indeed corruption on a wide scale and a reason not to give unflinching trust.

How much artillery do you think the President oversees, not to mention the fact that if there is a race war, groups like the Nation of Islam will likely get assistance from foreign terrorist groups, using techniques that can render your AR-15 ineffective.

Oh, and you mention how many legal guns you own. Ever thought about how many illegal guns are owned by black street gangs, not to mention the ruthless mentality of some of them?

I don't expect anyone to unflinching trust the police.

But that's different from stating that "Law enforcement is corrupt".

I would support the statement that "some law enforcement officers are corrupt". I merely asked that he not paint all law enforcement as corrupt with one broad stroke of his igno-brush.

You think there is some great insight to be gained by watching politicians act like politicians?

You don’t think the 200 million guns in American hands can wipe the NOI and other idiots from the face of the earth? What planet are you on? The American citizenry is the largest armed force on this one planet.

Ruthless is what you get when you threaten my family. That and dead. Thats a lesson anyone of these morons will learn. And when an American eats it, there are a few million more armed to the teeth behind.

I think it will.

Obama started his first nose dive in the polls when he said the “Cambridge police acted stupidly” and had his little beer summit to make ammends.

I think you’ll see him nose dive more because of this.

Whites thought Obama was going to be different and not play the race card. FAIL

Now he’s just reminded them again.
