SANFORD — Members of the New Black Panther Party are offering a $10,000 reward for the "capture" of George Zimmerman, leader Mikhail Muhammad announced during a protest in Sanford today.
The bounty announcement came moments after members of the group called for the mobilization of 5,000 black men to capture George Zimmerman, the Neighborhood Watch volunteer who shot Trayvon Martin last month.
The New Black Panthers will hold a protest in Sanford just before 1 p.m. today, the activist group's third protest in the past two weeks over the fatal shooting of the Miami Gardens teen.
The group called for Zimmerman's arrest and threatened to find and detain him if police were not willing to do so. But group members didn't call for the mobilization of thousands until Saturday.
Muhammed led the group in chanting "Justice for Trayvon!" and "Black Power!"

I don’t think that George Zimmerman is going to ba all that hard to capture, if done lawfully. And with due process.
What this is, is an invitation to a lynching. Then, the doctrine of “stand your ground” makes much more sense.

The liberals sure have jumped all over this case, and made it their cause celebre.
There is an untold story to this case.
Among the details which aren’t generally public knowledge is that there was a physical altercation between these two men. A witness said that Martin had Zimmerman on the ground, was on top of him, and was physically striking him.
The liberals also are not considering that this incident happened a month ago. The police investigated at the time, and found that there was no reason to bring charges against Zimmerman. That’s why Zimmerman was not arrested.
I understand a grand jury is going to review this case, and could issue an indictment.
I wish there was not such a rush to judgement. Let our system work. Let law enforcement and the legal system deal with this.
If a white boy had been shot by a black neighborhood watchman, would the liberals have made this a cause celebre?
To listen to some of these people, you would swear that our society, and the south in particular, have not changed at all since the days of Emmitt Till.
Why is there a presumption that this was a racist incident in the first place?
I realize I could get flamed by some liberal minded people out there, but I really want to know the facts of this case. I do not want to weigh in before knowing everything that happened.
From liberal news reports, all we hear is that a black boy was shot by a “white” or “white Hispanic” man, for no apparent reason. And then we hear liberal angst about how America is racist, violent, gun loving, and nonsense about how black boys are at risk from racists with guns.

Isn’t solicitation of kidnapping a crime? With no official warrant out for Zimmerman it’s hard to interpret offering a $10k ‘reward’ for ‘capturing’ him as anything less than that. Will the media be demanding the arrest and trial of Mikhail Muhammad for this?

I think you are right. Bounty hunters can’t just go and find someone and bring them in.
Among other legalities, there has to be an arrest warrant issued for someone.
Sometimes, liberals lecture us about how we have to follow the laws and regulations in our legal system, to serve the cause of justice. But other times, such as this case, the liberals don’t care about legalities. They just want to lynch this guy, regardless of any legal process.
In fact, the fact that Zimmerman was not arrested and charged at the time is a major part of this which has liberals upset. The police did their investigation at the time and decided there was not evidence to charge Zimmerman, that it was self-defense. But the liberals have decided that we should not care about such legalities in this case.
Somebody had better pull the brake on this real damn soon. This is outrageous and if law officials and gov’t won’t protect Zimmerman and stop these rabid racists, then regular folk should.
