If Rush has a war chest, and I’d bet that he does, suing over this would be a good way to spend some of it.

As a celebrity doesn’t he have to prove that the slander/libel was reckless regarding known facts? Is that the standard?

I’d say accusing him of complicity in murder in this case is reckless disregard of fact.
