Skip to comments.Report: Limbaugh Likely ‘Has the Biggest Audience He’s Had in Years’
Posted on 03/14/2012 5:02:06 PM PDT by Nachum
In the wake of uproar following conservative radio host Rush Limbaughs characterization of 30-year-old contraception activist and Georgetown Law student Sandra Fluke last month as a slut, Limbaugh has seen advertisers flee and entire campaigns waged to get him off the air.
But the big question remains: Just how have Limbaughs ratings been affected?
There has been no measure of his listenership since the Fluke flap. But nonpartisan radio expert Michael Harrison told The Daily Caller that Limbaughs numbers likely are going no where but up despite the anti-Limbaugh push.
Harrison is founder and publisher of Talkers magazine, the industrys leading trade journal.
According to Harrison, even if all the publicity is negative, it is a good bet that Rush is enjoying pretty high ratings last week and going into this week.

Further proof, that in show business, “There’s no such thing as bad publicity.” Just make sure you spell the name right.
For the media, the political prefix is only necessary for those on the Right.

Or as Dana Loesch calls it
Cee Us Next Thursday
now that's cool.
Some Fluke up eh?
Same thing when David Letterman was calling Palin “slutty” on his show, nary a peep from the leftists but asterisked out in print. Were there calls to ban Letterman? Nope.
Not me. He shouldn’t have apologized. There was nothing to apologize for.
“Fluke” Definintion [fluhk]
Perhaps we can make this one of the most interesting and colorful words in the English language today: It is the word “fluke”. It is the one magical word which, just by its sound, can describe the democrats vision of redistribution, social justice, and pain. In language, “fluke” falls into many grammatical categories. It can be used as a verb, both transitive (Obama fluked the country) and intransitive (The oil industry was fluked by Obamas administration). It can be a passive verb (Obama really doesnt give a fluke about religion), an adverb (Obama is fluking interested in destroying out Constitution), or as a noun (Sandra is a terrific, leftist fluke). It can also be used as an adjective (Food stamps are fluking stupid) or an interjection (Fluke! I voted for Obama in 2008!).
I think, as things have shaken out, that he was apologizing to his audience for sinking to the level of the democrats.
He should then be more specific.
Of course his numbers are up...I now listen to him on 4 radios at a time, instead of 3!
