(CBS News) President Obama's approval rating has hit the lowest level ever in CBS News polling, according to the latest CBS News/New York Times survey. The drop may be partially attributable to rising gas prices.
Just 41 percent of Americans approve of the job Mr. Obama is doing as president, according to the poll, conducted from March 7 to 11. Another 47 percent disapprove of his performance, up from 41 percent last month.
Mr. Obama's approval rating was 50 percent last month.
The average U.S. price of a gallon of gasoline has jumped 12 cents over the past two weeks. The poll found that most Americans, 54 percent, believe gas prices are something a president can do a lot about.

Mr. Obama's job rating on the economy remains about the same as it was last month - 39 percent approve, while 54 percent disapprove.
The economy and jobs remains the most important problem facing the country today, according to 51 percent of Americans. Three in four Americans think the economy is at least somewhat bad, including 30 percent who say it is very bad.
More Americans, 30 percent, say the economy is getting better; 24 percent say it is getting worse. The public's economic outlook was slightly better last month, when 34 percent said the economy was getting better.
Just 20 percent of Americans feel their family's financial situation is better today than it was four years ago. Another 37 percent say it is worse, and 43 percent say it is about the same.

That was my thought... Apparently, 41% of the people are so disconnected from reality that, well, it is amazing they can feed and clothe themselves without daily assistance. Seriously, how could anyone approve of what hussein is doing? Unless of course you are some kind of a socialist/Marxist that hates America, hates freedom, hates liberty, personal property, free speech, justice, security etc.

More and more Americans are waking up to the fact that what they are being told every night on the Magic Sqwauking Box in the living room, and what they see happening in the real world of the Obama Schrodinger Economy, are two very different things.
Gas prices are the trigger that can’t be hidden from them, for what they already know to be true, but are afraid/unwilling to admit.

They say that Obama will sail to re-election. They say the GOP is too extreme on social issues and out of touch.
They say that the economy is turning around due to Obamanomics and Porkulus and all that.
They say this pres. has been rough and tough against terrorists, since he got Bin Laden.
They say that people love Obamacare once they learn what’s in the bill.
That last one really gets me. That darn bill was passed two years ago, and they are STILL trying to convince people how great it is, and STILL revealing bit by bit what’s in the bill...........
Well, that's easy - - just look at the Democrat party "base", starting with the urban, permanent victim class (bus riders), and descending from there to atheists, abortion enthusiasts, pinky-ring union thugs, condom-throwers, Boy Scout-hating dykes-on-bikes, hand-wringing college professors, Hollywood drunks, welfare grandmothers, and every other variety of America-hating parasites, losers, malcontents, and goofballs.

What is absolutely astounding is that, after all that’s happened, there are still people - any people - who continue to approve of what he’s been doing and the manner in which he’s been doing it.
But, then, one hundred is considered an “average” IQ, and that may explain a lot.
