Rush Limbaugh has drawn the ire of celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred, who sent a letter to the Palm Beach County state attorney requesting an investigation into whether the popular radio host should be prosecuted for calling a law student a “slut” and “prostitute” last week.

According to the Florida statute she cites, to prove defamation, Fluke would have to prove she is NOT a slut. Therefore her sexual history would have to be paraded in the courtroom for all to behold.

Gloria supports legalization of prostitution probably has marched in the “Slut Walks” and if not she surely supports women who hold signs in favor of Slut Pride. It is the really cool thing to do if you are a feminist now.
She sees nothing wrong with women who choose to be prostitutes. So why is she upset with Rush calling a women a prostitute when she defend prostitution as a worthwhile profession?

Didn’t Allred recently accidentally and inappropriately release her massive list of lib press release contacts to keep her name constantly in the press? Obviously, Rush could “help her out” by advertising her released info and asking his listeners to contact all those the media people (over and over again) to insure that Gloria achieves the level of media hog visability she is seeking.
A few million calls and emails a day to those on her list would get Gloria what she deserves.
The discovery process is going to be quite something.

Allred explained that the statute recently came to her attention as having never been repealed, and that it could very well apply to Limbaugh’s remarks as his show is broadcast from West Palm Beach.
Doesn't Ms Allred think this is an archaic law which reflects a male supremacist double standard on women's worth? Or will she advocate the use of the law to defend poor women of color, by the prosecution of all rappers and hiphop stations for using the term "ho?" Does she only care when privileged, educated young white women are defamed?
Fluke is chaste? Guess she doesn't need $1,000 per year for condoms.

The law is discriminatory on it’s face since it only applies to the virtue of a woman and doesn’t provide equal protection for a man. Seems to me that would make it unconstitutional. I wonder if in any of her national news coverage Ms Alred has done the same thing. Not calling some woman a sl*t but impuning her virtue, etc in other areas. Turn around is fair play.
