Our Fisker Karma cost us $107,850. It is super sleek, high-tech—and now it’s broken.
We have owned our car for just a few days; it has less than 200 miles on its odometer. While doing speedometer calibration runs on our test track (a procedure we do for every test car before putting it in service by driving the car at a constant 65 mph between two measured points), the dashboard flashed a message and sounded a “bing“ showing a major fault. Our technician got the car off the track and put it into Park to go through the owner’s manual to interpret the warning. At that point, the transmission went into Neutral and wouldn’t engage any gear through its electronic shifter except Park and Neutral.

Give me a break! This is the PERFECT green car. You buy it for $100+K to show everyone how much you love Gaia and then you park it out front because it won’t run. Zero pollution, zero energy use, and lots of kudos from your red-diaper doper friends.

I saw a Fisker on the road a couple of months ago...the only US dealer is in our town...great looking car...I didn’t know what it was...did the research and almost puked at its story...glad to see it’s nothing but a POS.
What, most people cannot afford a $100,000 car? And those that can don't really need the government to subsidize it? Who knew?
And here I thought a $100,00 a car eco friendly vehicle was our long-term mass produced SOLUTION to the dangers of global warming! NOT!

Is there a complete running list anywhere of all the failed or failing Obama-promoted taxpayer-funded “green” companies and projects? Plus an accounting of how much money has been flushed down the poop chute for this and how much in campaign cash has been laundered back to the regime?
Like: the Volt, SpectraWatt, Solyndra, Beacon Power, Fisker, Ener1, etc. etc. etc.

At least Fisker is taking the car back to fix it.
After a half dozen Tesla Roadster owners bricked their cars by mismanaging the battery charge state, Tesla told them that they would not cover the cost of the battery replacement, so they are on the hook for $45,000.
These cars are all vaporware, anyway. They exist to bilk credulous investors out of their money and milk the government of subsidies. Producing actual cars for actual customers is the last thing they want to do.

And the kicker is, there are conventional cars in its price range that can almost match it on fuel consumption and kick its battery-laden ass performance-wise. And they don’t suffer from silly electrical glitches during their break-in period either.
The very idea of Karma does not, and never has existed.
I despise the use of the term Karma being used as as much as I despise the use of the phrase, “Global Warming”.
Neither Karma, nor Global Warming exists, and thus should never be used in any way to ever describe anything.

4300 lbs. 124 inch wheelbase. Some sports car. It is a grotesque. Even the giant Panamera is 115 inch x 4100 lbs.
