Fox News host Greta Van Susteren announced this evening that she will be boycotting the 68th annual Radio and Television Congressional Correspondents' Dinner over the selection of a comic to headline the dinner who has repeatedly attacked Sarah Palin using vile sexual terms.
Another pig….and a media association has hired the pig, Louis C.K., to be their headliner for the big media dinner? Really? I am not going. I refuse to go. Everyone in the media should join me in this boycott.
The headliner of this year’s Radio and Television Correspondents Dinner is “comedian” Louis C.K. Comedian? I don’t think so. Pig? yes.
He uses filthy language about women…..yes, the C word…and yes, even to describe a woman candidate for Vice President of the United States. It isn’t just Governor Palin he denigrates. He denigrates all women and looks to the crowd to laugh.
I refuse to show any support for this guy or for the Radio and Television Correspondents Association Dinner Committee who hired him. I think the organization that hired him is just as bad as he is. It is no secret that he denigrates women.

Free Republic brought to prominence the matter of Louis CK hosting the dinner by keeping an original article on the dinner published in Breaking News. The article was picked on Twitter and by several bloggers.
The article picked up on news about the dinner reported by Brent Bozell at Newsbusters. Bozell had mentioned the dinner earlier that day but had buried it in a column about the Rush Limbaugh-Sandra Fluke controversy.
Van Susteren is showing more courage than one would expect, as the 2012 chairman of the RTCA is a Fox D.C. colleague, John L. Wallace III.

It’s a CNN guy who’s the Chair for the dinner...he says he’s very familiar with CK and considers himself a fan of his filth.

This is a VERY VERY major annual event in Washington, Obama and Biden have attended. The list of broadcast journalists that HAVEN'T attended would be very short.

She has the most class of anyone on Fox News. I think hanging with the Palins since 2008 made her a little less liberal over the years. They have become good friends.
Now, let’s see the rest of the Fox News folks follow suit.

It's about time Lib entertainers, media members, talk show hosts, and commentators eat the vile words they spit out. Maybe the people who do attend will choke on Louis CK's language.
The CNN guy was the 2011 chairman. One of his last acts was to announce the appearance by Louis CK (in December.) The Fox guy is the 2012 chairman. He Tweeted his approval of the choice of Louis CK to headline the dinner at the time of the announcement.

How can any sane person in the media attend an event MCed by this sleazoid? We have really descended into the gutter as a culture. Greta is only doing what any decent person wouldn’t have to think twice about doing.
