A law student at Georgetown wants us to panic, because if she doesn’t have access to free birth control, it’s going to cost her $3,000 a year! My God, how do the common people function without their diamond encrusted platinum diaphragms? I went to a state school, so my government diaphragm was only sterling silver with turquoise. I know, right? Deprived!

No, actually, when I was in college, I worked at the Student Health Center, where we had a giant silver cannister of free–count ‘em–FREE condoms for anybody to grab who walked in the center. Most student health centers do, so if you need free condoms, put your cap on backwards and pop into your local university’s clinic. Nobody will question you. Just grab a handful........

Very funny piece, but seriously where is the media on this? Who is asking what birth control costs $3,000 per year? Planned Parenthood says birth control pills cost between $15 and $50 per month and if you can't afford them, you can often find a way to lower the cost. Who is Sandra Fluke? On Sandra Fluke's LinkedIn page, it says she finished Cornell in 2003, so odds are she's more like 30 instead of 23. It sure doesn't look like she's a vulnerable young student.....What's the real story?

So let’s do some basic math.
A box of TROJAN-ENZ value PAC contains 36 condoms which retails for $14.25 on-line. $1,000 would be enough to purchase, rounding off, about 67 boxes of condoms. 67 multiplied by 36 equals 2412 condoms. 2412 divided by 365 days in a year equals 6.6 condoms per day. At almost .40 cents per condom you could have sex with 6.6 partners for $ 2.64/day.
My oh my it doesn’t leave much time for studying does it Ms Fluke? So we know what you are now we are just negotiating a price for your services...correct?

I always had to pay for my own birth control pills. Finally I found a doctor who would perform a tubal on me, and I paid for that too. From the time I got out of the Navy (1989) to the time I got a good job (2004) I had no insurance, and I paid for everything out of pocket. It didn't kill me.

That said, I don't want any of these idiots breeding, so not only should we provide them birth control, we should bribe them to accept sterilization.

I was always a careful bachelor, so I never became a father during those years, and when it came time to be married I had to lay out the entire cost (about $300) for a vasectomy--to ensure that there would never be any children.

Aetna then (1971) would not pay for any for it!!! Which I thought was stupid, would they prefer to pay the bigger bucks for delivery of a baby? I guess so.
