Boehner calls Limbaugh remarks "inappropriate"

House Speaker John Boehner distanced himself on Friday from Rush Limbaugh, calling the conservative radio host's words toward a women's rights advocate "inappropriate."

Amid a growing media firestorm over comments Wednesday by Limbaugh toward Sandra Fluke, a Georgetown Law student who testified before a Democratic panel on the use of contraception, Washington's top Republicans said through a spokesman that Limbaugh was wrong.

"The speaker obviously believes the use of those words was inappropriate, as is trying to raise money off the situation," Boehner spokesman Michael Steel said in a statement.

Another MSM article that omits the facts of what this girl said. Because they can’t tell the truth or else things might make sense.

Why do you object to conservative positions on social issues being in the spotlight?

Don’t get me wrong. I am a strong believe that the social issues are important, that we are on the right side and emphasizing our position helps win elections.

But ...

We are currently focused on a social issue that Obama launched to deflect our attention from high gas prices and high unemployment and such. That strategy is working. Is the issue important to us? You betcha. Is it it helping or hurting Obama? It’s hurting him, slightly. But it is a net plus because it minimizes the economic talk and so it is a net plus for the Dems. That was the trap.

And ...

Yes it is Rush’s show. He can talk about whatever he wants to. And I can listen or not listen. These days I’m spending much more time with FR, my Kindle and less time with Rush.

Boehner is just about a worthless dumbass and hopefully given the boot when Santorum or Newt (preferably) becomes President.
Oops, was that inappropiate?

I’ll tell you what is inappropriate. It is that jerk being Speaker of the House. Now, that is inappropriate and has cost our country dearly since the Republicans won control of the House of Representatives.

“IMHO, Rush is a major contributer to that loss of focus on economic issues. He is spending way, way too much time on the social issue themes that only help Obama. It’s amazing to me that Rush would fall into such an obvious trap - and one that he clearly recognizes. It’s time to stop digging. The hole is deep enough already.”

AMEN!!!!

This is a distraction. The Dems do not want to talk about high gas prices, debts and deficits, unemployment, etc. etc.

In the end, this Fluke chick will be forgotten as just another pathetic representation of the “I'm owed” class.

What I'm not getting is why is it when a radio talk show host says something controversial, the press and the Dems(same thing) demand the GOP condemn them as if they control the content on these shows yet we never here the Dems being asked if they support the violent actions of OWS which they cheered on and gave support to?

Nope - I don’t get you wrong.

You certainly have a valid point. And, like many of us, you have America’s best interests at heart it seems to me.

We all want our country back.

Indeed the contraception issue is a distraction. If anyone needs more proof just look at this recent FR thread:

Obama phones woman called 'slut' by Limbaugh

Obama is not keeping this issue alive to help the GOP. He thinks it is a plus for the Dems. Rush needs to wake up and see that he is being taken for a ride by The One.

Forcing insurance companies and self insured employers to provide contraceptive devices and medications including abortifacients is not merely a "social issue". It is a constitutional issue of huge proportions. Don’t get me wrong. I am a strong believe that the social issues are important, that we are on the right side and emphasizing our position helps win elections. But ...

But what?

If the federal government can force an employer to pay for instruments of contraception and medications, they can force the employer or insurance carrier to do just about anything the administration wants to force them to do.

What are the constitutional limits to this government? Can they force the Catholic Church or me to violate my conscience and pay for things that are wholly offensive to me as a human being?

This is not just about birth control. It is about LIBERTY!

Which is exactly what Rush did today and THANKS BE TO GOD!! Hannity is chiming in. I sincerely hope Levin pipes up. I know Savage has already gone even farther than Rush has.

Enough of this. The woman thought she could blithely be obscene and be taken seriously. This is the warning shot: that way we don’t lean-a, Josefina.

Was I hearing things today?

I could have sworn that I heard Rush quote Boehner as saying that Limbaugh’s words were “inappropriate” but so was the whole subject.

This is an MSNBC article so the possiblity that Boehner’s quote would be selectively edited isn’t exactly extreme.

The only reason I'm still a Republican is so I can vote in primaries.

The GOP, because of trash like Boner Boehner, is dead to me and has been for some time.

Who is going to stand up for the sluts’ pussies at the airports? Bammy has a program to coping a feel at will. Maybe the sluts think it is fun to have government pervert grabing at their not so private parts.

Yes, it is about liberty and it is an important issue. But it is, with the current overemphasis, still a distraction.

But... (again!)

Obama and Rush are both working hard to keep this issue front and center. One of them wants to get reelected. The other wants publicity and high ratings.

Looks like a WIN-WIN. But not, IMHO, for our side.
