Gingrich first to hit Obama for Afghanistan apology
CNN Politics ^ | 2/23/12 | Kevin Liptak

Newt Gingrich emerged Thursday as the first Republican White House hopeful to criticize President Barack Obama for apologizing after Muslim holy books containing extremist language were burned by NATO soldiers.

Gingrich told a crowd in Spokane, Washington, "President Obama surrendered twice today and I think that deserves to be brought to the country's attention."
**snip**
He continued, "The president apologized for the burning, but I haven't seen the president demand that the government of Afghanistan apologize for the killing of two young Americans."

Gingrich said Obama was ignoring the treat of radical Muslims intent on harming Americans.

"There seems to be nothing that radical Islamists can do to get Barack Obama's attention in a negative way, and he is consistently apologizing to people who do not deserve the apology of the president of the United States, period," Gingrich said.

->Levin suggested Newt and Rick team up together and do the same thing.

I think Newt should keep being presidential and answer Obama’s lies each day. Newt is ahead of everyone.

He did it as a Senator. Claimed to be “the go-to guy” for the coup, ...

That is false. That is not what he said.

SANTORUM: Three years into his -- well, I would just say, three years into his speakership there was a conservative revolution to try to get rid of him as speaker. You know, that doesn't happen very often where you have the Speaker of the House in a time when Republicans are on the ascendancy and the person who led them in large respect to that would have that kind of rebellion within the ranks among conservatives. I think that should tell you something.

And just the opposite, I was a leader. If you were a conservative around this country and you wanted something done in the United States Senate you came to Rick Santorum's office, because that's where it got done whether it was national security or moral cultural, or economic, or second amendment, we were the guy that was the go-to guy to get conservative things accomplished in the United States Senate.

Newt was destroyed by a propaganda barrage from the left and then finally from a few gutless RINOs.

Santorum's I-think-that-should-tell-you-something comment about Newt is pathetic.

The CPUSA and their stooges that call themselves "Democrats" hate Gingrich more than a million OBL's for one reason.

He is not afraid to take the fight to the marxists in DC.

The domestic reds on Capital Hill and the press can rewrite history and propagandize until the cows come home, but the fact is that Gingrich was the reason the GOP took Congress in '94, and they viciously attacked him to the point that he did the right thing and left when it became clear the RNC degenerate blue bloods and their creepy pulled back wives didn't have his back.

Now he's out for blood.

The skinny muslim communist faggot in the Oval Office had better break out the prayer rug, face the ragheads in Saudi Arabia, and beseech that pervert al lah that he doesn't have to run against Gingrich.

Baksheesh,Baksheesh,Baksheesh.

Spot on.

Tells you all you ever wanted to know about the chump lawyer in a sweater vest who voted to continue to allow unions to force workers to join and pay dues against their will.

Degenerate SOB.

His family in Italy are high level communists.

You have quite a nice way with words.

And I hope Newt is the nominee, because last night was more proof that he is the only one that get the job done in this election.

I no longer watch Faux, unless I’m told Sarah Palin or Newt Gingrich are going to be guests.

Needs to be a house cleaning, bunch of boors like BOR, Wonder Boy Hannity, and how the hell is Greta still employed, plus they seem en masse to take weekends off, so forget about tuning in on Saturday or Sunday.

What a shame.

Drove a yellow cab in NYC in the 80's and grew up with the kids who's fathers pulled the Lufthansa heist.

I've heard some colorful language.

TigersEye - you can ram your post up your arse and out your ears!

I have posted a source for that twice: go do your own research. Santorum is dishonest - that was the result of mine, even down to finding where he violated the law of Pennsylvania.

Santorum criticized the TEA Party at CPAC last year. He is a big government guy, has never admitted that all those meeting he’s had with K Street lobbyists were wrong, and is as much a conservative as any pro-life Democrat.

http://www.eastidahonews.com/2012/01/santorum-hits-gingrich-romney-to-kick-off-florida-swing/

““You look at someone who was speaker of the House, and again, these are friends, I know they are good people, but when Newt was speaker of the House, well, within three years the conservatives within the House of Representatives tried to throw him out, and in the fourth year they did. Why? Because he wasn’t governing as a conservative,” Santorum said. “He didn’t live up to all the hype.”

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Gingrich became Speaker of the House and the Democrats went nuts! He moved to put cuts in the budget, which meant less pork and earmarks for constituents. For the first time in a very long time the Republicans actually had to govern and take responsibility.

The 1998 budget was scheduled for a $1 Billion cut and congress saw the gravy train leaving the station. No more getting rich at the public’s expense.

So it became “get rid of Newt Gingrich” even to the extent of manufacturing lies about him. Those phony ethics charges that were ALL dropped, but the media continues to smear him year after year after year. As does Rick Santorum.

The worst part of it is that Gingrich mentored Santorum when he first arrived in Washington as a new Representative. Rick stabbed Gingrich in the back. He was part of the coup.

“We were the ones standing up and fighting,” Santorum said. “I was the go-to guy.”

Senator Lindsy Graham said that is a lie, that Satntorum was never central to the coup. He is trying to take credit for something he never did. It’s called “puffery”, a lie about one’s role in an event in an attempt to look important.

Senator Santorum was part of the ongoing problem of business as usual in Washignton, D.C. Under a Republican president (George W. Bush), they added over $3 trillion to the federal deficit, shunned conservative policy in favor of Beltway influence-peddling, and so damaged the GOP brand that we lost the majority Gingrich had worked years to forge.

“The skinny muslim communist faggot in the White House”....

My sentiments exactly. How despicable a creature he is. What goes around, comes around. And We the People had better deliver it to him in “spades.” What was good for Mussolini should be required for obozo and all the socialists/communists/marxists/revolutionaries/muslim sympathizers who support him.

The context from your own link...

Santorum, standing on a stage in a strip mall parking lot outside of Wings Plus, said he was the “conservative firebrand” other Republicans would come to if they needed help with legislation.

“We were the one standing up and fighting,” Santorum said. “I was the go-to guy."

Not a word about any "coup."

the article mentions that Palin may have been the first to actually come out publicly and criticize Bambi, but Newt was the first candidate to do so.

I give credit to Newt for actually bothering to go to the effort to actually run, given all the slings and arrows of the media.

He's in the ring. Up at bat. etc etc.

Palin is more and more just the obnoxious parent in the little league stands. Santorum and Romney should join her.
