Good evening my dear friends. Several of you offered supportive words and prayers recently when I mentioned that my Mom was going to have to go into an assisted living facility. I have to tell you that your prayers undoubtedly have played a part in her "better than expected" transition.

She has been there for four days, and updates from my brother are very encouraging. The first day was a little rough, since her almost non-existent short term memory short-circuited any recall of conversations about the need to do this. However, since then she seems to have settled in pretty well. Has a roommate that she gets along with, and that helps a lot.

Her only complaint has been that it is too hot! I thought to myself, "Well Mom, it could be worse. You could be stuck at onyx's house with her new 72 degree heat system." (Just kidding sweetest.)

Anyway, I just wanted to thank all of you who lifted prayers up, and to let you know I don't have better friends anywhere on earth. God bless us all.
