America on Verge of Economic Collapse Because of Obama's Cooked Reports
News Blaze ^ | 2/16/12 | Chuck Ness

Posted on 02/16/2012 6:28:25 PM PST by OneVike

The Obama administration has released an economic report that claims everything is coming up roses, and it is making the rounds of the MSM's news outlets. Truth is, when you look into the numbers, it's rather easy to come to the conclusion that the economic reports are as screwy as the administration's employment numbers. In order to convince Americans that his economic measures are working, Obama is claiming there has been an increase in retail sales from December to January by a seasonally adjusted .4%. The administration goes on to explain that while the economy is moving in a positive direction, it is still slow. They also point out that the recently reported gains reduced unemployment to 8.3%, proving that Socialist economic policies are working. However, Obama's unemployment numbers have since been proven to be lies. Have I stated that we are in an election year and that Obama needs to get re-elected in order to continue transforming the greatest country in the history of mankind into a Soviet style basket case? To assist in the destruction, the MSM has been knowingly repeating this administration's lies.

Instead of reporting how America's real unemployment is actually up between 19 and 25%, they report that Obama has been able to get unemployment down to 8.3%. Instead of reporting that the government is spending more money than it is taking in, and that retail sales have dropped by almost $100 billion from December to January, we are told by the administration's propaganda machine that retail sales have increased by .4%. In an election year, the MSM will do everything in their power to convince Americans that Obama is even greater than Ronald Reagan.

Did you hear that Yahoo is already predicting that The Pretender in Chief will be re-elected?

When he loses, that very day the numbers will change and Repubs will be blamed. And I mean that day.

Marcella, are any of those freeze-dried food companies that are any good.

I told my husband that the year’s food supply was his Valentine. Sounds like I should get a couple of year’s worth of that food and start a Victory Garden.

It won’t be a Victory Garden...more like an Emergency Garden.

Better to speed up the film and rebuild, then to prolong the agony.

Yup. The longer this plays out the worse it is going to be through both the duration and the big bang.

Besides, everyone knows that the chocolate ration is being increased by the Ministry of Plenty.

And to protect the children...all chocolate will be double wrapped in waxed cardboard.....

....and as a further productivity enhancement ....all chocolate will be weighed complete with wrapper.....

Thus the chocolate ration has been increased from 20 grams to 18 grams per week.

From the article...

By looking at the usage of gasoline by us citizens, you will notice that it really does back up my point that Americans are not going anywhere to buy anything. The refineries are not delivering gas to your local service station because neither you nor your neighbor are buying gas. We are staying home because our stagnant income does not allow us to put extra gas in our cars, let alone drive around to purchase things we cannot afford. Again, please notice the last two data points on the graph above. They point to a historic low amount of gas being used by Americans, which has a direct effect on the overall retail sales. Which in turn will affect the employment of Americans. So unless Americans begin buying more gas to go to the store, be prepared for the administration to offer up more bogus unemployment numbers...

Thanks for the post and ping back to the thread. OneVike has done a great investigative report on these numbers and the correlation (or lack of) with other data. BTTT!

It’s kind of like “jobs created or saved”.

Deception of dhimmis? Manipulation by marxists? Tactics of totalitarians? Something is rotten in Denmark and D.C.

Which is why I now call them collectively the “ministry of propaganda.”

Would that be the same Yahoo that is now worth half of what they were worth when they refused to sell themselves to Microsoft?

Thanks for the ping.

I’m seeing a dropoff on the graph beginning in 2009.

As for the last two data points — that’s downright scary.

It’s a 10 month old article but he’s been cooking the books since he first plopped his feet up on the Resolute Desk.

Heard gas is going up 20 cents in Arizona because of the spike in CA. Other states will follow, not because they’re in any way connected to those pipes or fuel company but because they can. It went up 10 cents this weekend at a Texas station, but then that station always gouges customers.

LucyT,

I just realized this article was from FEBRUARY....

Wonder where on the chart we are now, given the refinery problems.

Yes, there IS one refinery shut down that I know of, Torrance Mobil.... not sure of others.

Duh, are you implying that continued Federal Spending exceeding the previous year’s income will not pass the Liberal’s Sustainability Test?

BTW, 653 US Universities have taken the Sustainability Pledge, so they must known that taxpayers will always pay back all debt incurred by Federal politicians, right?
