The Obama administration has released an economic report that claims everything is coming up roses, and it is making the rounds of the MSM's news outlets. Truth is, when you look into the numbers, it's rather easy to come to the conclusion that the economic reports are as screwy as the administration's employment numbers. In order to convince Americans that his economic measures are working, Obama is claiming there has been an increase in retail sales from December to January by a seasonally adjusted .4%. The administration goes on to explain that while the economy is moving in a positive direction, it is still slow. They also point out that the recently reported gains reduced unemployment to 8.3%, proving that Socialist economic policies are working. However, Obama's unemployment numbers have since been proven to be lies. Have I stated that we are in an election year and that Obama needs to get re-elected in order to continue transforming the greatest country in the history of mankind into a Soviet style basket case? To assist in the destruction, the MSM has been knowingly repeating this administration's lies.
Instead of reporting how America's real unemployment is actually up between 19 and 25%, they report that Obama has been able to get unemployment down to 8.3%. Instead of reporting that the government is spending more money than it is taking in, and that retail sales have dropped by almost $100 billion from December to January, we are told by the administration's propaganda machine that retail sales have increased by .4%. In an election year, the MSM will do everything in their power to convince Americans that Obama is even greater than Ronald Reagan.

Heard today the number FOUR being spouted repeatedly; claims for unemployment LOWEST level in FOUR years; construction HIGHEST in FOUR years etc etc. which of course places us back during the Bush Administration.
If we do get a handle on all this bullshit, we need to rip out the talking heads of propaganda in this country. Whether it be Corporations, individual owners or simple Anchors, they should be tried for treason. They have been derelict in their duties of reporting the TRUTH.
I agree, just like Tokyo Rose was prosecuted, so to should almost every talking head news anchor in America.

It’s worse than that.
A buddy of mine and I were walking our dogs while waiting for my son to finish his Confirmation class. The subject of Obama came up and he stated that the reason the press was covering for him was because he was a liberal and a Democrat.
After some thought, those two reasons are a small part of the reason the press is covering for him. But it still doesn’t fully explain the cover ups and the press willingness to repeat the Administration’s cooked data as unquestionable. The press never covered for Carter despite their didain of Reagan.
The overriding reason why the press covers for Obama is race. They don’t want to see the first black president fail and they will do anything in their power to see that doesn’t happen.

I can’t believe that General Motors is turning a profit. I believe they have to be using creative accounting . The Chevy Volt is a joke and I can’t image they have suddenly become an efficient profitable company overnight.
This from a president who’s claiming he didn’t understand how bad things already were.

“Fairness”. There are so many political contexts you can place that meaningless-in-itself phrase in. Sort of like “hope”, and “change”. Does anyone know what is real agenda is, specifically? The devil is in the details.
This is a global deleveraging; a long-wave contraction that is happening all across the developed world. The hardest part is yet to come.
The greatest lie being perpetrated on the American public right now is that we were in a Recession. We were not in a recession. We are already year 4 into a decade long depressionary period. Americans have lost $7 Trillion in wealth just on the value of their homes alone. That doesn't include all the wealth that evaporated based on derivatives built on the housing market.
Obama is telling the truth that it's the worst economy since the Great Depression. It's probably the only time he has told the truth.
That being said, his Administration (and yes, Bush before him) took the absolute wrong path by continuing to recapitalize failed institutions instead of allowing them to collapse.
Like watching your house burn to the ground in slow motion, honestly. Better to speed up the film and rebuild, then to prolong the agony.
If anyone is waiting for a magical recovery once a Republican gets in, good luck. Once the EU falls apart, contagion will spread. It's only a matter of time before the truth of our economic decline becomes evident to all, no matter how many rounds of QE they toss at the American people.

Sadly you are right, the script was written in the early 1900’s when Americans failed to throw the bums out for unconstitutionally acting as if the 16th amendment was ratified when it never was.

Several local government employees (down here in the states—major socialist regulator types on the Rockies) have told me that they’re prepared to move to Canada, when our collapse occurs. Funny, how the left-leaning political class folks (especially government employees) are preparing for a violent end of the world, while we poor private sector rubes only live cheaper and try to get by.
