The Obama campaign is today beginning a new effort to enlist and educate at least 2 million supporters for a "grassroots communications team" they're calling the Truth Team.
The rollout also includes a social media blitz, directing supporters to three new websites:
KeepingHisWord.com, which highlights Obama's record and "promises kept";
KeepingGOPHonest.com, which highlights GOP policy positions; and
AttackWatch.com, which fact-checks claims made against Obama on the campaign trail.

Ever since the news broke last Friday that our economy added 257,000 new private-sector jobs in January, Mitt Romney has been grasping for a way to morph the positive news about our economic recovery into something that will benefit him politically. In his Nevada caucus speech this weekend, Romney said:
“[H]e’s been trying to take a bow for 8.3 percent unemployment. Not so fast, Mr. President ... We welcome any good news on the jobs front, but it is thanks to the innovation of the American people in the private sector, not to you.”
Far from taking “a bow,” President Obama has been clear about the fact that we still have a long road ahead of us. When President Obama took office in January 2009, we were shedding nearly 800,000 jobs a month. His immediate, decisive action to stop the bleeding reversed the trend. We’ve now seen 23 straight months of private-sector job growth, creating a total of 3.7 million jobs.

Yesterday morning, Mitt Romney’s campaign unveiled a new petition asking supporters to “Stand for religious liberty.” Here’s the opening line: “The Obama administration is at it again. They are now using Obamacare to impose a secular vision on Americans who believe that they should not have their religious freedom taken away.”
The “attack on liberty” claim comes from the provision that requires most employers that employ and serve people of many faiths to be included in the new law, including religiously affiliated organizations like hospitals and universities. But the petition doesn’t take the time to explain that the reasoning behind this is that women of all faiths are employed by these organizations and should have equal access to contraception.

What irony that the Administration chooses such a term for its tactic to assure its assumptions of tyrannical government power over individuals.
In the current challenge to its power, focus on the fact that this is not about the Trojan Horses of "women's health" or "contraception."
It's not even limited to the principle of religious liberty or freedom of speech.
It is about an unconstitutional assumption of power over rights which "the People" withheld from the purview of the government they structured through their Constitution. If this arrogation of power to the Executive is allowed to stand in this case, then all of "the People's" rights are at risk.
Inasmuch as their Constitution allowed no power to infringe on any specified right in the First Amendment, then the person who assumes such a power also does not possess a power to "compromise," or "accomodate."
May I suggest that readers of this thread read Leonard Read's "Anything That's Peaceful" and share this wonderful and easy-to-read book with as many people as you can.
Not only does Read provide insight into the ideas of liberty versus those of tyranny (as in socialism), but his Chapter 5, entitled, "How Socialism Harms the Individual" is especially enlightening for any who may not see what is happening in America in its proper context, as pertains to the individuals involved.
In Chapter 5, under the heading "The Authoritarian," he begins by stating, "Of the threee classifications of persons involved in social leveling by compulsion, the authoritarian--the one who administers the taking and the giving--has been too little diagnosed." When you read it, you will see the nature of the man before us today. This section of Chapter 5 paints a portrait most Americans will recognize.

Mitt Romney likes to trumpet his tax plan, saying that it would allow Americans to keep more money in their pockets.
Closer scrutiny of Romney’s actual proposal reveals that it’s very good for the wealthy—and very bad for everyone else.
In an attempt to woo blue-collar voters, Mitt Romney has been claiming that he would revitalize America's manufacturing sector.
But under Governor Romney, Massachusetts manufacturing suffered greatly.
Mitt Romney says he cares about American families hit hard by the housing crisis, and his plan to give them relief is to boost the economy overall.
Aside from vague references to getting Americans back to work and improving economic conditions, Mitt Romney offers very little in the way of actual proposals.
Mitt Romney would has proposed a plan to end Medicare as we know it by taking steps to privatizing it and turning it into a voucher program.
The Romney plan would devastate Medicare and end the program as we know it.
Newt Gingrich has called on Congress to eliminate the estate tax.
In reality, the end of the estate tax would blow a giant hole in the federal budget, forcing cutbacks in other areas like Medicare and infrastructure investment.
In a recent South Carolina GOP debate, Mitt Romney tried to make viewers believe that he’s an outsider with no connections to Washington’s world of special interests.
But while Mitt Romney keeps talking about changing the culture in Washington, the facts about his Beltway connections speak for themselves. Today, he’s in the capital he claims to loathe, holding a high-dollar “policy roundtable” with some of the very lobbyists and industry insiders he’s been railing against.

Thank you! I thought the title “KeepingHisWord” was absolutely the creepiest thing about this.
We used to joke that Obama thought he was the messiah, but it looks like it’s no joke anymore. (Personally, I think that’s why he’s taken on the Church and is trying to assert his authority over it.)
