I have been listening to him for years and I can think of three times when he came ever so close to noting who he would vote for or what he thought of the establishment. Some of these revelations are post him 12 stepping...
* In 96' he said "I really like Steve Forbes"...
* When the GOP got their asses handed to them in 06' he said "I am not carrying their water anymore".
* He has said to the effect he'd vote for her tommorrow ( Sarah a couple of years ago) as she was the only one in the GOP with B@!!s, so to speak.
I think he knows his job is to watch it happen not make it happen.

This is going to be the election that makes Rush less relevant to Conservatives. It is the election that is going to knock the legs out from under the GOP-e because Conservative who are tired of them running moderates that lose & putting Party above country are going to stampede for the door. There will be 4 more years of Obama to get a viable 3rd party up and running and by that time, folks will be well and truly P.O.’d, hopefully enough to fight to get the country back .... if there’s enough left of the country to salvage at that point.

Romney won't fight 1/10th as hard in the general as he is against Newt, because it will be made to be "racist", and Romney WILL wilt under THAT attack.
It will win for Rove and the GOP-E because they would have killed the Tea Party and conservatives by fooling them into giving Rick a VP slot, and crash and burning him and Romney so Rove and "the boys" can run Jeb almost unmolested by the Tea Party and conservatives in 2016.

Good for you! I think a lot of people were just waiting for a nudge because the truth is that Mittens’ ugly campaign has actually made a number of what I think of as “apolitical” types think twice about him. He may have gone a little too far. We shall see.

Looking at these polls results makes me sick. People voting for Romney, they mind as well be voting for Obama because Romney IS Obama.

I feel the same way. I never liked him, and I knew I could never vote for him based on his policies. But now I’ve seen firsthand how vile and detestable he is. Like Mark Levin said last night, there’s a reason people who know this guy hate him.

One of the problems with Rush is that once he got successful, he quit working. He then relied on being funny, provocative...an entertainer. There's nothing wrong with that, but people shouldn't look to them to say anything really important or meaningful.
The big problem, however, is that with their reach, they can say some stupid thing off the top of their heads and suddenly it becomes gospel. And that's what happened with Rush when he destroyed Gingrich by saying that questioning Romney's deceptive portrayal of his business practices was "anti-capitalistic."

Up until 2 weeks ago, I would have voted for Romney if he was the GOP candidate because Obama has to go. Now .... not doing it and that is saying a lot because I don’t think we’ll have much of a country left if Obama gets 4 more. At some point, the line has to be drawn in the sand and now is the time.
