Once again I'm puttin' up a thread cuz no one else had and it's almost 1300 EST.

Hope this one doesn't devolve into a lot of off-topic BS like the SC thread did for awhile.

For the sake of your fellow FReepers, if it heads in that direction please ping abuse to the mods or Jim and help nip it in the bud !
/.02

And once again I'm painting during a primary, so if you bounce replies off my nick and don't hear back for a couple hours/ever, please don't be offended, k ?

Good to know Newt will fight on, no matter what happens today.

Also good to know he’s probably doing better than expected in Florida.

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO hoping that Gingrich pulls off another win today. You saw the carpet bombing Romney did after South Carolina, just imagine how bad it would get after another Gingrich win. The GOP-e would also be like rabid dogs foaming at the mouth and gnashing their teeth. That would be so sweet.

The Drudge report would be nothing but a page of solid red headlines and a hundred flashing sirens.

Actually, FL is in both the Eastern and the Central time zones. I may be mistaken but the polls should all be closed @ 8:00PM EST/7:00PM CST.

I voted Newt at 8:55 am and was only number 32 in my polling place. I kept looking around and wondering, “Where is everyone?” Seemed very slow, but the poll workers said it would likely be very busy later in the day.

I think I convinced 21-yr-old son to vote Newt later today and I think my wife is coming around too. This morning she actually said she “might” vote for Newt — after insisting all last week that Romney looked more Presidential and more of a family man.

I think Sarah’s support got her attention long enough for her to actually consider candidate positions and not just appearances.

Praying for a tsunami of support and a Newtron bomb tonight!

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-fix/post/five-counties-to-watch-in-the-florida-primary/2012/01/31/gIQAyuMIfQ_blog.html

Most precincts — 94 percent, actually — close at 7 p.m. eastern time while a handful of polling places in the state’s Panhandle region close at 8 p.m.

Put in my vote for Newt this morning at 8 AM.

You are correct Afterguard, FL is mostly EST but partially in CST. The majority of the state polls close at 7 PM EST / 6 PM CST, but the other half dozen panhandle counties close at 8 PM EST / 7 PM CST.

Judicial appointments alone should be ample reason to dismiss Romney as a choice.
