That’s what I thought, too...and you know a candidate has bottomed out when even Ron Paul looks good next to him.

Newt’s answer was not pro-amnesty. He specifically stated that to receive citizenship, illegal immigrants would have to go back to their home countries and get in line at the back of the line.

Then Romney pretty much copied Newt’s answer.

Santorums dad can be born in Italy, as long as he was a US citizen at the time of Ricks birth.

Newt has a 98.6% approval record with National Right to Life. He played a role in stopping partial birth abortions. I dont know how Rick S can go on the road and leave his dying child behind...that would be so difficult for me.

Nope. That speaks volumes about where the media comes down on issues that affect the country, especially when Obama is blowing it.

Hmm.

I would say (out of 4 ****)

Newt *** (obviously tired, and at the end of a LONG day)
Romney ** 1/2 (the tax question really got him, and no big applause moments like Newt had with question #1)
Santorum 1/2 * - completely and deservedly lost any hope with his petty, smarmy and vicious performance tonight.
Paul 1/2 * - Did better than usual because I don’t remember him whining about Iran. Still a universe away from being acceptable as a candidate.

Santorum was correct when he pointed out the “Right to Life” in the Declaration. That is the foundation.

I think he suspends by Monday. Why should he?

Exactly! We need Rick to stay in the race and give us some kind of option. I hated that Perry left and I sure don't want to lose another one.

Performance tonight: 1. Romney 2. Santorum 3. Newt 4. Paul

I would rate them Newt, Romney/Paul (tied), Santorum, but I'm biased for Newt. Educate me and tell me why I am incorrect.

His dad was not a NBC?

Whatever the answer, it doesn't matter. As long as he was a US Citizen when Romney was born.

Santorum knows this debate means whether he survives or not and he’s doing his best to knock Newt out. He’s really a little nasty thing, isn’t hea?

“I also think he burned his bridge with Newt. I’m not so sure we’ll see a Gingrich/Santorum ticket.”

Good, because I want Gingrich/Perry.

Santorum got robbed in IA. He would have got a much bigger bump if he had won. I think it was not an accident. Big Money wants Mitt.

He really handed RPaul’s head to him on a platter ...”

Uh I don’t know... Dr Nut bar got a good bitch slap off just now before the break.

At one point, Newt said he accepts the sincerity of Mitt Romney’s conversion to pro-life. Then moderator King turns right around and says to Romney that Gingrich questions or doubts his sincerity, giving Romney a chance to feel offended by Gingrich.
