Andrew Sullivan: How Obama's Long Game Will Outsmart His Critics [hurl til you drop]
Newsweek ^ | 1/16/12 | Andrew Sullivan

...given the enormity of what he inherited, and given what he explicitly promised, it remains simply a fact that Obama has delivered in a way that the unhinged right and purist left have yet to understand or absorb. Their short-term outbursts have missed Obama’s long game—and why his reelection remains, in my view, as essential for this country’s future as his original election in 2008.

Wow. Where to begin to respond to such a dazzling intellectual. (/s)

IMO two things will decide the election. The unemployment rate and the price of a gallon of gas.

It has gone past the blood/brain barrier for that idiot.

One would think the "Newsweek" cover was photoshopped, but it is real.

The idol worship of that affirmative action mediocrity is enough to fill anyone with horror. Anyone who loves his country, that is.

I was once quoted disdainfully by Andrew Sullivan.

Badge of honor.

It’s not the critics Obama is outsmarting, it’s the GOP that he is outsmarting, not that’s very hard to do.

All you have to do is look at all of the losers running for the nomination.

A very long time ago, I used to require my students to get a (very cheap) subscription to Newsweek. That was back in the days when their slogan was "The magazine that separates fact from opinion." They couldn't use that slogan now, I suppose, because they no longer publish any facts.

Obama’s long game - in the rough furiously hacking away at a curling stone with a tennis racket. The man is dumber than donuts.
