The Giants ARE from NY originally...use to play in Yankee Stadium, for goodness sakes. Further, the part of NJ where they currently play is more like NY (now) than when they played in the old stadium in NYC. I ought to know...I moved away from my old “little town” a few years back. When I moved there was: no available parking on most streets (meters were starting to come in), bumper-to-bumper traffic in “suburban” north Jersey, prices and taxes through the roof, green areas disappearing everywhere, and a level of rudeness and rush-rush that had so overtaken the folks that, well, lil ol’ NJ had pretty much disappeared and become, like you said a “hell hole.”

All that being said, GO GIANTS!

“Giants are set up to win it all.”

A statue of liberty quarterback never does well against a good defense. Eli has feet planted in cement. Eli gets sacked 11 times, throws 4 interceptions and is removed in the third quarter for the backup. NY backup throws two touchdowns to make score somewhat respectable.

SF - 24 NY - 14

Eli is sent to Mississippi to train with Brett Farve. Eli breaks Farve’s records for interceptions in 2014 while playing for Cleveland.

He retires and makes a fortune as a cement contractor. In 2050, Eli is found living in a cement shack with 576 cats, all encased in cement.

With 10 seconds to go and his team down by six points, tight end Vernon Davis catches a deep pass over the middle and as the defender slips and falls on the soggy stadium turf, he begins his cut up field in front of the San Francisco bench. He looks ahead and sees nothing but a red, white and gold endzone and the glory that will soon be his once more. He sneaks a quick peak over at coach Harbaugh who is windmilling his arms, a look of expectancy and jubilation sweeping over him. Davis smiles and his eyes begin to well up with tears as he contemplates another glorious finish to an amazingly close game. Inexplicably, Davis, his eyes completely blurred by the streaming tears, steps on the sideline. Out of bounds as the final second ticks off, the gun is heard, the game is lost.

After the game, when questioned about the play, a dejected Davis attempts to explain how difficult it is for such an emotional man as himself to play a sport that offers the potential for so great a reward and that he is contemplating retirement. When questioned about what he would do in a life after football, he explained how the democratic party has already made him an offer to serve as the San Francisco campaign liaison for Team Obama in a big get out the vote effort with gays, minorities, illegals, the homeless, spoiled children or anyone else who might be subject to their emotions.

Frankly, I don’t thing the Ravens have much of a shot against the Pats anyway. The Ravens offense stunk Sunday. Cam Cameron is incapable of putting together an offensive scheme that effectively utilizes the running game. And his pass play calling — as in “Throw it long and hope for the best, Joe” — is absurd. The guy needs to go.

Remember the Ravens offense “stunk” yesterday when facing the second best defense in the league. Next week they’re going up against the second WORST defense in the league, I expect they’ll smell a bit fresher.

Interesting note you make here. It's supposed to start raining in Bay Area around Thursday or Friday right through game time. It will be interesting to see how sloppy field conditions, amazingly for the first time this post-season ANYWHERE, will affect the game.

The rest of your comment, of course, is pure partisan drivel, but what the hey, you're clearly a Jints fan.

“Aren’t the Jets headquartered in Florham Park, New Jersey?”

Don’t let your facts stand in the way of my aspersions! The Jets are from NY...

“Well when the Packers won the SB last year, had to put up with Green Bay showing off during that time.”

When the Giants won a few years ago I didn’t say much; it was the expected outcome (actually, I just talk about it as inevitable every year - even a broken clock is right twice a day). I hope the Giants do as well as the Packers last year!
