The final tally in the New Hampshire primary showed Rick Santorum clinched fourth place and Newt Gingrich took fifth, according to the New Hampshire secretary of state.

Throughout late Tuesday night and early yesterday morning when the votes were tallied, Gingrich had been fourth, but Santorum overtook him, beating him by just 138 votes, with 23,174 votes for Gingrich and 23,312 for Santorum.

It was the second close race for Santorum, who lost to Mitt Romney in the Iowa caucuses by eight votes.

so on the social level nothing changes, we still have the liberal agenda marching on.
On fiscal we will still have them giving out money and helping certain businesses to make money , basically they choose winners and losers with our tax money while their pals get rich.
Talk radio for the most part back the establishment for power and interviews.
Likes of Hannity can be invited back to the white house
so nothing changes and conservatives lose.

That is a racist thing to say.

I forgot to add that if I was being out of line here, which I am not, it wouldn't be a racist thing, it would be bigoted.

Well, the Gingrich folks were arguing yesterday that Santorum lost and should drop out. Wonder if they think Newt should drop out now?

“...Maybe Ric or the other way around say I’ll drop out but you will be my VP...”

Hey manc...good to see you.

You know, I’ve thought that too, but it’s too much like actually working together to achieve a common goal. Since Day One of this whole process, that hasn’t happened.

It’s a lesson our side seems to keep NOT learning...

You do realize that your count misses a few hundred votes, yes? Look at the differential.

Gingrich finished fourth.

Of course, in a week or so you’ll be telling us Santorum won NH, much like you continue to tell us he won Iowa.......

hope you had a good new year and Christmas.

Yea I wish Perry, Newt and Rick would all sit down and say we have got to stop Rino and two of us have to step down but still help to stop Rino getting the nomination.

Newt hates Rino for his lying B/S AD’s he ran and I don;t blame him.
Perry has no chance lets face it surely even the most ardent supporters can see that now.
If Newt wants to stop Rino and hurt him then they all have to come to a decision and stop splitting the vote.

Rino is laughing like mad right now at how our votes are being split.

Doubt it. I bet even after he loses in SC they will still call for him to stay in.

It’s not my count. It’s the official certified count from NH. Follow the link.

I’m sorry that you are so delusional that you cannot accept the truth.

Santorum beat Newt in NH. Nothing Newt says or does from here on out can change this. He’d better step up his game for SC, or he will lose there in SC again.

Let’s make a deal - you back Santorum if he beats Newt in SC, and I’ll do the same for Newt. Deal?

I think everyone should back the best anti-Romney, period.

But if Mitt wins SC, it’s over.

I will be ecstatic if the establishment hacks there allow the truth to come out about the 20 votes and Rick is given the win.

The fix is in. The Republican't Establishment has spoken. Be quiet, peasants!

Well, Newt is ahead in South Carolina, so Santorum should drop out and endorse him. < / sracasm >

Somehow, we Santorum supporters are all crazy because we can't see Newt as the best alternative.

Let me point out that SC is just as much Newt's backyard as NH was Romney's backyard. If Newt doesn't make somewhere colse to a Mitt like win in SC, the narrative will be that he can'd even win in his own backyard.

All Rick Santorum will need is a respectable third place finish.

As it has in every GOP contest since 1960, the final decision will come down to Florida.

The last few days have shown us that Newt will act like a liberal if he feels threatened. Santorum won’t.

And that's a key difference my friend. Newt Gingrich has never lost an election or even come close. Still, he feels the constant need to reach out to the left.

Santorum has never had an easy election and probably knew he would lose in 2006. He still stuck to his principles.

Other than the 2004 endorsement of Specter (at the behest of the Bush Administration), Rick Santorum has never let us down on anything major.

Yes, but it’s moot.

It’s like me backing the Pittsburgh Steelers over the Denver Broncos today. Not really much point anymore.......
