In a way an old junk yard dog description of Newt is fitting.

Romney is the hyper little toy dog that wants to hump your leg.

Perry is the bloodhound that sits on the porch and won’t hunt.

Santorum, well I kinda liked the guy so I’ll call him a collie, funny thing is, I have never in my whole life ever saw an attack guard dog collie.

Newt. He has a track record of budget success, and right now that is about the most important issue I have. I think that he is softer on illegals than I would like, but the current congress and its likely 2013 version are not going to be passing comprehesive amnesties regardless.

I don't have any strong dislike for Perry or Santorum; I just think Newt is more up to the task at hand.

And yes, the thought of seeing The One facing down Newt in a debate truly makes me giggle.

RICK SANTORUM.

And, no, the other two choices are NOT "just fine". With Bachmann and Cain gone, Santorum is the last decent conservative standing. Can't trust Perry or Newt and both of 'em would lousy candidates against Obama in the general election (albeit for opposite reasons -- Perry's a clean-cut family man but a doofus on the campaign trail, Newt's slick and polished on the campaign trail but a slimeball in private and has endless skeletons in his closet)

SANTORUM / MARTINEZ 2012

1.Governor Rick Perry...if his message would stop being distorted, it would be THE message of Tea Party.

2.Newt Gingrich. I would vote for Gingrich second just based on his knowledge of Washington. Other than that, there is nothing that appeals to me and nothing to prove he wouldn’t still search for his own idea of a fulfilled life.

3. Rick Santorum. I would vote for Santorum based on his potential alone. I would hope for an immediate crash course in leadership because he has no experience.

Newt, Perry, a winning ticket.

Between the two they will change Washington.

Perry because he has executive experience with excellent results.

Perry has created a climate in TX where TX has close to the top economic growth in the country.

We don't have to wonder if Perry can do it--he's already proven he knows how to do it.

Perry is a veteran and the current Commander in Chief of the TX National Guard.

Perry has signed legislation to defund Planned Parenthood and to require a minor's parents to consent for an abortion.

Perry has signed badly needed tort reform legislation to control runaway lawsuits--loser pays.

Gov Perry is strongly pro-Second Amendment.

Gov. Perry has vetoed $3 billion dollars of proposed spending and has stopped every tax increase in its tracks.

Gov Perry has already taken on the EPA because he knows burdensome regulations makes it difficult for business to create jobs. Gov. Perry also knows the absolute necessity of America drilling for, and producing all forms of our own energy. It is the economic engine which will jump start our economy and free us from dependency on foreign oil.

Perry is the complete package.

Perry. All the way.

I like Newt too, but Perry trumps Newt on executive experience.

Yeah, his poll numbers have literally fallen through the floor. At the speed of light, yet.

1. Newt, no doubt.

2. I like Santorum but Newt has the fire in the belly, and the ability to use the bully pulpit like no one else in the race.

3. I like Perry, but he will be portrayed as W 2.0 so electability is a huge problem. Also, see #2.

4. Although it is not a popular position, I would vote for Romney if mass lunacy strikes the Republican party and he winds up as the nominee. 4 years of “management” would be better than 4 more years of “fundamental change.” (But I pray I don’t have to make that choice.)

5. Ron Paul. See the last part of point #4.

I'm gung-ho with Perry. If things don't go his way, then I will probably support Newt over Santorum. I have some serious issues with Newt, mainly Medicare D and him supporting the federal mandate to purchase health insurance. However, between him and Santorum, I believe that he has a stronger chance to go beat Romney.

All of that being said, I still think Gov. Perry is a rock solid conservative, with the least baggage, with a strong record as governor, and with complete respect for the 10th Amendment. Also, I will gladly vote for Perry, Santorum or Newt over Romney.

We shall see what happens!

Gov. Rick Perry, with Newt a relatively close second and then Santorum.

(I guess Tim Tebow would be in there somewhere if he was running - lol)

Perry is preferable to Gingrich on social security and environment issues.
