Next, most inspiring and inspired.

Then Perry, then Santorum.

With me, if it were Perry I go third party or write in the general election again, same as I did when they went with McCain. That is not negotiable.

Take a bow for helping to elect Obama. Loser.

If it’s really down to these three - then I’ll take Perry. He’s a dullard, and a typical greasy-palmed politician, but that still more palatable than either Gingrich or Santorum who are straight-up big gov’t fascists.

I’m at the same point I was when Fred Thompson left the 2008 race. Discouraged with what we have left to choose from. But in 2008 that discouragement turned to absolute excitement and jubilation with the announcement that McCain chose Palin to be his running mate. Here I was a McCain basher, sending the McCain campaign money, and asking how I could volunteer. I hope whoever wins the nomination understands that and chooses his running mate very wisely.

But out of the three, if I had to choose just one, it would probably be Santorum. But he is such a bore, and not real witty when it comes to debate answers. I just can’t see him going one on one with Obama and coming out the winner. Newt would cream Obama, but I am not suffering from amnesia and still remember the reasons I did not support Newt a few months ago – back when he was in the single digits and Cain and Perry were fighting for the top spot. Newt is McCain with attitude.

Newt has what it takes to take Obama and the left down.

Newt.

For many reasons. Primarily because he in my opinion is the one best able to take on the two-headed monster: the media and Obama. Plus, i think Newt is ticked off enough at the establishment that if he wins there will be a much needed shakeup in the Republican party.

I don’t dislike Perry or Santorum, but i think if Newt goes down then so too does our chances of derailing the Romney disaster.

Newt!!!

I want someone who wants to do the work that needs to be done rather than someone who wants the office and title. I want a bulldog who will fight for what is right, knows where the bodies are buried, and knows how to get things done.

I have no doubt that Newt will stand up to democrats, the media, and establishment republicans alike to get the country going in the right direction.

I pick Newt. Yesterday he cut thru the pious baloney for all to see. I think it will be reflected in the primary results tomorrow.

JIM...I sense that you’re wanting to bail out on Newt. Have faith, be patient. He’s the best candidate.

Santorum. That said, if Newt is the most viable non Romney candidate bythee time Texas votes, then I will vote for him.

Newt.

I almost fell for the negative establishment narrative on him until I remembered how Newt had regularly pushed them aside in the 90’s and actually brought about the changes he promised.

Count up to post #123

Newt = 71
Perry = 22
Santorum = 23

Which is why both Perry and Santorum should respectfully bow out. Unless they WANT Romney to be the nominee, and therefore they WANT Obama to have 4 more years.
