MANCHESTER N.H. — On the day Mitt Romney rolled out the endorsement of Senator John McCain of Arizona, a “super PAC” backing Newt Gingrich dug out an old gem and put in on the Web.
The PAC, Winning Our Future, posted a commercial slamming Mr. Romney by using past footage of him offering conflicting positions on issues like abortion, gun control and what it means to be a Republican.
“I will preserve and protect a woman’s right to choose and am devoted and dedicated to honoring my word in that regard,” he says.
But moments later, in another clip, he says: “You can go back to YouTube and look at what I said. I never said I was pro-choice.”
But it’s the kicker to the ad that makes it significant.

OK - so here’s the lastest approach for the Romney campaign.
Romney is non-threatening - not a bomb thrower and will compare favorably against Obama who ‘scares’ voters with his ‘in your face’ attitude.
OTOH - Newt is a ‘war horse’ - just as scary as Bamster.

For a super PAC, Winning Our Future doesn’t seem to have much juice.
Yes the ad itself appears like it could be effective. But posting an old McCain ad on a less than stellar website seems pretty weak. Certainly doesn’t measure up to creating their own work and making significant ad buys with it.
Willard needs to feel some heat. If he thinks he can cruise to the convention with a cake walk, wait until the Dems put on their $Billion press. It’s going to get ugly and he had better be in shape to handle it if he is the nominee.
Hannity played it right on the air on Fox with mccain and romney both sitting there the day of the endorsement. It was hilarious. It was an actual mccain campaign ad from 2008.
Willie Milt Romnuts will win in Red Hampshire. Even the local media says the real interest lies in who finishes second...
