Now sources say the 68-year-old White House contender’s close relationship with his violent father is bound to ignite a new scandal because the veteran politician has been a major crusader against domestic violence – and even co-sponsored the Violence Against Women Act in 1994.
A political source told The ENQUIRER: “Newt is going to face some heavy questioning because while he’s been a major opponent of domestic violence, he secretly reconciled with his wife-beating father.”

Interesting, another media source who could not find the time to report on the marxist church where His Excellency allegedly attended regularly can find the time to search through documents about Newt’s parents.
Of course they did not do this research themselves, they got it from one of the flubs running against him. They too did not take on the great marxist hope either and won’t if they get nominated.

Several days ago, Axelrod said in regard to Newt. “The higher a monkey climbs a tree, the more you can see his a##.”
That remark, said with a smirk and wink, set the stage for the gleeful, no-holds barred, takedown of Newt by the media.
Two things about the remark:
- It codified the media double standard regarding Newt and Obama. In effect, Axelrod is saying: We can call Newt a monkey; but they can’t call our guy a monkey. Obama’s race protects him from the type of media attack now unleashed on Newt
- I don’t recall anyone on the Republican side going after Axelrod for this remark. Where is our RNC chairman Rince Princess? This is a bloody war for the soul of America and they’re playing it like it’s a normal election.

Have posted a Wiki reference on Newt’s bio parents. Their marriage dissolved after just a few days. Mother was 16 and father 19 when they married; so there were no ‘good times’ to remember.
His step-father died in 1996. Do we know who contacted whom? When did bio-dad realize his son had accomplished so much from such adverse beginnings?
This biography will not hurt Newt - many adults who experienced similar family dysfunction will sympathize. Those that were more fortunate will be impressed by his overcoming the odds. JMHO

What does that have to do with Newt co-sponsoring VAWA? Note that he didn’t merely vote for that freedom-robbing legislation, he CO-SPONSORED it.
You choose to ignore Newt’s repeated progressive words and deeds but I will not. He has repeatedly stated that FDR, not Reagan was the best 20th century president and possibly the best-ever president. If you want another FDR, go ahead and vote for Newt.
