Allen West a better candidate for 'Defesne' and for sure. Herman never lacks imagination when it comes to rating his experience for a job.

I pledge to back the Republican nominee unless I am absolutely sure that Obama would be a better President.

Much of the problem here can be summed up in a rewording of the old Grocho Marx joke about country club membership: “anyone who would seriously run for President would have to be someone I wouldn’t want as President.”

You folks are not going to find a God-annointed, perfect candidate. If you could, we should just go back to rule by the devine-right of Kings. All we would need to do is fervently pray that God annoint each new King.

I don’t particularly care for any of the candidates or suggested candidates (from Palin to Romney to Paul to everyone else, they all seem very flawed to me); but with the possible exception of Paul, they all seem far better than Obama. And frankly, with the same possible exception, they all seem far better than McCain was three years ago.

Your concern for the infighting among conservatives seems to conflict with your willingness to, for example, call the sitting governor of Texas for the last 11 years and military veteran with the rank of Captain, “dumb as a coal bucket”.

Ras has clearly jumped a BIG shark... here with this Iowa “poll”, and combined with today’s pres index - within just a few days going from -20 to today’s -15. He’s gone over the deep end... and over to the dark side as well.

Oh, that person is on the list you provided for our “edification”, all
right, but you mislabeled him and don’t recognize he’s the one even when looking right at him.

Maybe it is time for a new party

The team didn't pick your guy for QB so you are taking your ball and going home. Good. We don't like quitters and cry-babies on our team. My primary choice has only made it to the General Election once, and that was Ronald Reagan. Since then I have had to hold my nose when I voted, but I still voted for my team. How many of you voted for GWB in the 2000 and 2004 primaries? I voted for Alan Keyes in both of those primaries, and when GWB got the nomination I supported him. Much as I didn't like George Bush, I knew he was better for America than Gore or Kerry. Your Anti-Mormon bias is impairing your judgement.

Yes they are the two conservatives but this is winner takes all. If Romney wins I am done with the GOP.

I don’t agree it was the infighting on the blogs that did it.
It was the media’s lies.

I do not think anyone wants willard to win. But I do not want any of the three rinos to win. They all three support amnesty in one form are the other.

Cain did say he put his candidacy on hold. He didn’t withdraw. With the media’s accounts it isn’t a bad Idea if that was his plan. Palin could jump in at the last moment. Who knows what could happen.

“Good. We don't like quitters and cry-babies on our team.”

The GOP is NOT my team so don't count on me to play. When your “Team” QB has a long history of supporting liberal causes like socialized medicine, man-made global warming, and illegal pandering, I REJECT them as seriously flawed. I am a conservative and Tea Party. I am done supporting the liberal ideology of RINOs or the establishment GOP.

and
“Your Anti-Mormon bias is impairing your judgement.”

That comment alone shows you are not worth more than this one response. That crap is no different than a desperate Democrat playing a race card.

You are probably correct about SC but this will be an odd year. it is entirely possible that Ron Paul wins Iowa, Romney wins NH and either Newt or Perry squeak by in SC

I hate to say it but the primary voters look like Lemmings right now. they seem to flock to a flavor of the month first Bachmann then Perry Then Cain now Newt. Maybe Santorum will be next, he would be a preferable candidate but right now it doesnt seem like he has any momentum or even enough money to make a good show of it

Rasmuseen has Mitt and Newt in a tie in Iowa!!!!

Not bad, considering all of the money spend by several candidates against Newt in Iowa!!!!!

Newt is braving the storm!!!!
