– Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann on Wednesday furthered the attacks on former House Speaker Newt Gingrich over his immigration policies, saying that he moves the most toward the left among the GOP presidential candidates.
"He probably has the most liberal position on illegal immigration of any of the candidates in the race," Bachmann said in an interview with "PBS NewsHour."
Gingrich made headlines Tuesday night in the CNN National Security Debate when he called for fewer restrictions against longtime illegal immigrants.
Arguing that the GOP should adopt policies that avoid breaking up families who have lived in the U.S. illegally for decades, Gingrich said he was "prepared to take the heat" for going against his own party.
"Let's be humane in enforcing the law, without giving them citizenship, but by finding a way to create legality so that they are not separated from their families," Gingrich said at the GOP debate in Washington, D.C.
His opponents onstage quickly pounced, saying that Gingrich's position amounted to amnesty and dismissed the rule of law.

I am not in the Gingrich camp, but the fact is he delivered more conservative results in the past half century than anyone not named Reagan. He ushered in significant welfare reform, got the budget under control, and reformed the corrupt House practices of the democrats. Not to mention orchestrating the first majority in 40 years
Calling him a RINO is ridiculous. He certainly has his flaws, but he has delivered big for our movement.
Bachmann is constantly attacking GOP candidates like and even attacked Palin when she was considering running.

Gingrich used to be a conservative. He abandoned his core philosophy and principles. This is the guy who is tight with Nancy Pelosi, racist Al Sharpton and jihadist Grover Norquist. He endorses global warming, Obamacare and amnesty. He is worse than a Democrat. I don’t want him to be President. I want him stopped now!
He is liberal. This is the guy who endorsed Dede Scozzefava.

There are news clips with Romney stating he is Pro citizenship for Illegal Aliens... Gingrich is AGAINST citizenship for illegals.

Newt is a straight shooter (aiming squarely at his foot). As a NYS resident and one old enough to remember a little history, Newt’s road trip with Sharpton was plenty enough for me.
Gingrich favors amnesty for illegals and opposes ending anchor baby citizenship. He is on record as being for global warming policies and defends Obamacare. But you Gingrich cheerleaders can’t or won’t see your guy is unelectable!

Gingrich has warts, Reagan did amnesty and raised government spending while he was in there are NO IDEAL CANDIDATES.
Bachmann has run a negative campaign and can’t present a Positive Vision as Cain , Gingrich and Palin can.

No she is not telling the truth. She tried to stand up a red herring lie that Newt was in favor of amnesty for 11 million illegals. That is an outright deception. She was caught on it yet she and Milt Rominy have continued to try and maintain that lie. Bachmann is the first —other than Rominy— whom I have decided is completely unfit for the White House. MNjohnnie has tried to float the lie that I have been bashing the candidates other than Newt. It’s a bold lie, but a lie nevertheless. And now Bachmann has destroyed her creds, for me. She and Milt belong together and appear to be standing that way now.

See, that’s where your false presumptions cause your inability to recognize reality. You can project your thoughts onto the rest of Conservatives, but you can’t speak for them.
Newt is not a RINO, he is the most accomplished Conservative running. Nobody has implemented more nationwide Conservative change than Newt.
PLENTY of Conservatives support Newt Gingrich, despite the rants of Cain backers and malcontents. That’s why you guys are so frustrated and angry, watching a litany of Conservatives back Newt in stead of your preferred candidate (The only “true Conservative”).
You can shout louder and louder and play the post-1,000,000-threads-on-the-same-bullcrap game, and continue sniping at opposing Conservative candidates; but your base gets smaller as you water-down the word RINO, move the goalposts in the hopes of taking out opposing candidates, and try to excommunicate accomplished Conservatives in the hopes that your guy will be the last one standing.
Newt is winning on his Conservative merits and bona fides. That’s the brutal reality your watching unfold before your eyes.
You’ll stay home? How very ... childish. There are no down ticket positions for which a conservative is running in your little world? Can’t get the pitch you want so you’ll take your vote and stay home? Mercy, such infantilism.
