Reid Statement On Supreme Court’s Decision To Take Up Health Care Reform
United States Senate Democrats ^ | 11/14/11 | Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid

Posted on 11/14/2011 12:42:07 PM PST by mdittmar

Washington, D.C.—Nevada Senator Harry Reid issued the following statement after the U.S. Supreme Court announced it will consider the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act.

“Families, seniors and small businesses in Nevada and across the country are reaping the benefits of health insurance reform. Prescription drug costs for seniors are falling as the Medicare ‘donut hole’ closes, insurance companies can no longer deny coverage to children with pre-existing conditions, and business owners are taking advantage of tax breaks. Just last week, a conservative judge appointed by President Reagan ruled that this legislation is Constitutional, and I am confident the high court will do the same.”

The man simply can't say anything without starting off with a lie.

Is Reid referring to some alternate, parallel universe, or is he psychotic or simply lying?

All I see are insurance premiums going to the moon, and coverages bei g cut back (but that was the intended effect of Obamacare, anyway).

Only they can disqualify themselves. If Boner had a spine, which he doesn’t, he’d get the house to draw up articles of impeachment against both, for failing to disqualify themselves and begin hearings. Only that has a chance of doing it.

Kagan appears to have a genuine conflict here, but what is Sotomayor’s conflict. She was not part of the DoJ or HHS.

The question is, is it constitutionally legal. The answer is blatantly NO. This goes way beyond the powers given to the federal government, but legality never stopped Harry before. His is not a Constitutional government, his is a monarchy. Somehow Harry never realized we won the war with the King of England.

According to Senate Tradition, statements like Harry's belong to the Majority Whip. This leading the Senate Majority Leader free to be above board.

Harry's problem is that he can't keep his mouth shut when he doesn't need to speak.
