Americans For Prosperity staffers told The Daily Caller that Washington, D.C. 911 operators hung up on them four times when they asked for extra police to help them deal with the Occupy DC protesters who stormed their “Defending the American Dream Summit” Friday evening.
AFP foundation’s director of programs Katie Engdahl said she called 911 to ask for more help in order to protect event attendees from the growing group of protesters outside the Washington Convention Center. Engdahl was the AFP staffer in charge of running the event, which the Occupy protesters swarmed on Friday night, most likely because billionaire investor David Koch was in attendance. Left-wing media have vilified Koch and his brother, Charles, for their donations to libertarian and free market causes.

Based on what? What DC jury is going to find for them?
File suit against the UNION the OWS bunch, and the location for not providing proper security when it was obvious that a mob was gathering.

Then the two women that were assaulted file a lawsuit against the very same people.
At this point OWS is a basement skunkworks operation of the AFL-CIO. And their main battle now is on behalf of public employee unions in Ohio, Wisconsin and elsewhere. And clearly the rank-and-file of many police and fire departments has been told to have “blue flu” whenever a prominent Conservative or Wall Street type needs their help.
I would advise the Koch Brothers to move to a rural retreat in a red state for the duration, and don’t leave anything of valuable that is also flammable at the New York pad.

The 4-3 decision says they hold no liability for not responding to a citizen’s call for protection.
This would be considered “precedent”. So, inherently, it’s the citizen’s responsibility to protect themselves, though the gov’t wouldn’t want to allow that either.

It is a mistake to hold any conservative event in DC during the Obama regime. They should have held it in Virginia. How many OWS loonies would have started trouble, knowing that there would be lots of private citizens with CCW there, and where the jury pool would be against them?

Seems to me that we are going to have to start our own ‘security’ (perfect market opportunity here); on the lines of the ‘Patriot Guard’.
When the law fails to uphold the law, then the people have no options but to do it themselves.
