Here’s a transcript of Perry’s words from Red State:
“Our campaign had absolutely nothing to do with it. You know I’m disappointed that there’s finger pointing going on and the sooner we get back to talking about the issues that are important to the people of this country the better, and that’s how we get Americans working again.”
“There’s not anybody in my campaign that knew anything about this that’s associated with my campaign in any form or fashion. I mean it, end of story, I mean this is - it’s one of those that’s about as clear cut as I can tell ya. We found out about the allegations against Mr. Cain same time everybody else did.”

Did anyone expect him to say Yeah we did it?
I sure didn’t. Probably won’t ever know for sure who fed the story to politico but you can bet your boots on this! Had the alleged actor been a prominent democrat the only thing the story would have ever seen was the spike on the editor’s desk!
