A spokesman for Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s campaign is adamantly denying that members of the GOP presidential candidate's staff leaked a story has swamped Herman Cain's campaign this week. Instead, the Perry camp is pointing a finger at the campaign of another rival Republican, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, as a possible source of the report about the sexual-harassment charges levelled a decade ago against Cain by female subordinates at the National Restaurant Association.

Because both Cain and Bachmann are hoping that at least they can be Romney’s running mate if they don’t get the nomination. When was the last time Bachmann said anything bad, to any consequence, about Romney? Cain said that he would consider being Romney’s running mate.
I do no, but I would be looking into the background of the lawyer for $35,000 gal. It seem to me he the one that has the most to gain.

and having Mark Bloch accuse the Perry campaign of doing this on FNC an hour ago...isn’t such great strategy either.
How long does it take to meet with advisors, develop a competent rapid response team and “get your act together” by having clear and concise answers. Come on Herman. This isn’t rocket science.

Gingrich has steered clear of this mess as well. And he's been rising steadily in the polls with every debate performance.
If Cain loses support, most of it will shift to Newt, not Mittens.
I beg to differ. Cain changed his story again today and claimed there was only ONE harassment case.
He had previously acknowledged TWO and today we have a Third party as well as a witness.
So then Cain gets slimey and accuses Perry.
I am disappointed that Perry’s spokesman even suggested Romney could be responsible, but at least they only “suggested” it.
Here is what it is. The establishment simply need to crap all over the uppity outsider that is Herman Cain.

If I were Cain, I would let it out that he would consider running as a “I” if this continues.

I still support Cain. These hypocritical political attacks on him only made me more eager to donate money to him. There is a war going on in America between the Obamanation/RINOS and the Tea Party. And I aim on defending the Tea Party with every vote left in my body.

Using your logic, our guys shouldn’t even run against Obama. I mean after-all, the Democrats or media may level a charge against one of the GOP candidates, and this could cause a “bloodbath.”
My guess is, you’d have the same reaction no matter what charge was leveled against one of our guys. It doesn’t matter what the facts are in your world, it’s the “seriousness of the charge.”
Would like to know who the woman is that made the accusation, why she was given a severence pay...who the other women are and why they are not waiving the confidentiality law to get the facts in front of the American voter. NOW!!!!!!!!!!!! what IF it is a democrat behind the leak? that would be the biggest joke on the republican party ever...I don’t rule it out.

If I heard right, Cain now claims he briefed one of the Perry aids about the harrassment accusations when the guy worked for Cain's senate run in 2003. The aid said that Cain hadn't told him anything and he knew nothing until he read it on Politico. BUT...
Yesterday Cain in a TV interview said that he didn't know the details that he is now claiming he told this Perry aid in 2003.
Either he knew it or didn't but wants it both ways!~
I’d suspect Romney well before Perry (Romney’s people have been doing this sliming in ‘08, and vs. Palin).

To all the Cain supporters there is no reason to abandon him. So far there is “not much” to the story. Just the msm doing there usual hit job and stirring the pot.
Right. If Cain is telling the truth and this is much ado about nothing then Cain should loosen up, smile, take questions and laugh it off. There are two possible reasons for the way they are poorly handling this - Cain is a non-politician or the accusations are more serious than Cain admits. I happen to believe the former. We didn’t want a politician and the flip side is inexperience in dealing with crap like this. I haven’t given up. Cain is basically a good man and he will continue to learn and grow
